This is a follow-up from the initial review I wrote on July 12, 2004 when my Jetta was almost brand new. I have not had any problems with my Jetta thus far. (I've driven about 26,000 miles.) The gas mileage is fantastic for long road trips on the interstate where you can drive a steady 65-75 mph. I most often drive my car short distances with a stop sign every block and the gas mileage is very low.
The AC and heat work very well and quickly. I still like that the latches for the trunk are on the sides and the trunk-lid is shaped like a square because you can pile stuff right up to the top.
Sometimes I feel smushed in the front seat and I can see how people in the backseat might like more room.
