Bought it new, changed the oil
regularly, had trouble with windows and
AM antenna (both fixed by dealer under
warrantee), yellow goop cleaned at each
oil change by dealer for a few years,
just changed the battery and tires. I
could not expect more from a first year
of a new style.
The max torque at 3000 rpm really helps
get up those hills with out a problem.
Fun to drive. Power outlet in trunk
comes in handy. Love the auto-up on
the front windows.

moonroof, power-everything, cruise, and
a terrific sound system. I love the
car so far. The one thing that I do
not like about this car is the power
window failure. Apparently this is
common in Volkswagen cars and it is
very expensive to repair.
My favorite feature of this car is the
sound of the motor when I am driving.
You can feel the power. It drives
wonderfully and is easy on the eyes.
I think that Volkswagen should extend
the warranties. The current warranties
only last 50,000 miles. The window
motors went out on my car at 52,000 so
I was unable to repair it to my
