Since I bought my new 97 Jetta, i've
had three oil leaks, replaced water
pump, radiator, strut mounts/struts,
Secondary Air Valve, wiper mechinaism,
tires, washer fluid sprayer, engine
light comes on, leak detection pump,
fog light (which you can't replace
yourself), antenna mast, starter,
muffler, all belts, trunk lid
alignment, tail light and ignition lock
modifing. Customer support was rude and
unhelpful, now ask me if I would buy
The one nice thing I have to say about
this car is that is does handle
nicely. It loves the road with all the
curves and dips the road can throw at
it. It's a nice tight handling car,
too bad the quality was missed when
this car was made.
I am certain that the Jetta I own was a
friday or monday built car. The folks
building it wanted to go out drinking
on friday and had a hang over on monday.
