1995 Volkswagen Jetta GLX VR6 4dr Sedan

Review

I bought this car new in 1995, and have loved it for all 126000 miles. It runs great and is very zippy. I would recommend the manual V6 if you're looking for great acceleration. Third gear is the best! Too bad it's speed is governed at 135 mph. I've heard of problems with electric features like cruise control and heated seats, but I haven't had any problems. I just wish Jettas were made in Germany like the Passat. Some of the Mexican substitutions are cheapo plastic.

Best Features

It looks great with factory BBS wheels, super dark tint, spoiler, and fog lamps. Avg 30 mpg! Very quick and fun to drive. Reliable well beyond 125000 miles.

Worst Features

Can't put windows down all the way without stripping motor wires, which cost $300+ to fix. I recommend not using the auto down feature on power windows to avoid this problem entirely!! Suspension is a bit floaty at high speeds, especially over bumps on the interstate.
