Overall, we love our GTI. It's a lot of
fun to drive. We had horrible
experiences with the windows falling
into the doors, but this seems to have
beeen resolved (and VW gave a 7 year
warranty on it). Now that we're out of
the bumper-to-bumper warranty little
things are breaking, and it's happening
a bit more often than I'd expect, but
not so much that I wouldn't buy another GTI.
I like how the car takes care of you -
the rear view mirror dims itself, the
wipers sense the amount of rain and
chance speed accordingly, the side
mirrors have a blue coating that reduces
glare, the climate control lets you set
a temperature and forget it, and so on...
Longer bumper-to-bumper warranty.
