Premium fuel and VW 502.00 specification motor oils (all synthetic) is a good start. Make sure the car has had the following Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) items addressed: Window regulator malfunction causing power windows to fall in the door (nuisance issue) Replacement of defective ignition coil packs (this is a showstopper) to a model newer than the ... Did you get a Golf from the first year of production of Mark 4 (1999)? If so you should know better. First year of a model is always one to avoid. Look at 1998 Beetle for example, I sure would not buy one. Try contacting customer care again, and I wish you better luck this time.
