I have a 2007 Aura XR loaded with every option avail with only 8K on it now, my wife has a new 2008 XE only 2 months old and my daughter just leased a new 08' Vue..... NOW the news.... We have had the same problem with the thumping in the steering wheel. They replaced the part about a month ago & now it's back worse. Went today to get oil changed & pointed out the problem, said it needed to be greased & the guy who did it was not there on Saturdays . I too have a 2007 Aura XR with only 7800 miles on it.. The front end sounds like its going to fall off when i hit any type of road bump or just about anything !! Sounds like struts are bad or bad CV joints to me !! Highway mileage is great.....town stinks !!!!! highway gets about 27+ , town only 17 average. thats not too good to me, my Caddy i turned in for this got better mileage. ... Read More...

BY the way, this problem is common to all 2007 and 2008 Auras. The Chevy Malibu which is manufactured at the same factory and considered to be the Saturn Aura's twin apparentl solved this problem by covering the defect area with some sort of plastic or aluminium piece that hides the separations. I'm not sure if this is the same problem, but I have a Saturn 2007 Aura/XE and it has been in the shop for the 4th time with electrical problems. The compass, driver window, heated seats, sun roof all lose power. "The work order states that the tech found a screw for speaker goes through retainer into wiring harness for drivers door. I took my '07 XR in because of the gaps in the rocker panel. The technician there said that the gaps were normal and in fact showed me an '08 XR on the showroom floor with the same gaps. Read More...

Actually I can. No you can't. The Impala is not part of this discussion and according to EPA it is a fullsize car. I have no problem agreeing with you that with or without fleet sales Impala is the best selling fullsize car but that's not what we are discussing here aren't we? how many altima, Sonata and camry sales are fleets? I have a 2007 XE, my wife noticed yesterday a thumping noise while moving the steering wheel back & forth. Also we have had intermittent problems with the power windows in wet weather. Anyone with a Saturn Aura having problems with the electrical/computer system? I am and the dealer isn't fixing it. The problem: A "Service Traction Control" warning will appear and the car will stall and lose power. It has died on me once and wouldn't restart afterward.
