I have a 2007. I noticed the chipping/wearing of the inside edge of the rear tires when I had the oil change and tire rotation done at 8000 miles. I learned from this site the cause and fix for this problem. I wanted to get everyone's opinion on how I did. I just picked up a new 2008 galaxy gray 5 speed EX coupe with wheel locks, mud gaurds and a trunk tray for $18042.88 plus tax and tag and a $599 dealer fee which brought the grand total to $19948.01. My 2007 Honda Civic started vibrating at 3000 miles. I finally brouhgt it in at the 22k mark. the vibration gaot considerable worse at any speed above 50 mph. Hobbs Honda replaced the rear upper control arms but took no responsibility for the damaged tires and told me to check with Goodyear. I haven't left you hanging regarding my dad's 2007 Civic. The 2nd set of tires is starting to get REALLY ANNOYING to him and he really wants to buy more, but is still waiting to hear back from Honda about what they might do for him. I think there's a reason a "lemon law" exists: Some cars ARE lemons. I think to characterize all Hondas in the way you did is to ignore thousands of satisfied customers and experienced reviewers. Here's the US version of the rear upper control arms/abnormal rear tire wear. TSB 08-001 was issued on January 2008. Hope this helps everybody. My Honda dealer replaced the rear upper control arms, but said I am 'out of luck' on the tires even though my fronts are 5/32 and the rears are 2/32. Evidently no one has enough miles on their 2008 Civic to have adequate information. We bought a 2008 Civic that was manufactured in November of 2007. We had the same concerns as the previous posters expressed about whether this car might have similar problems with the control arms and tire wear Doesn't sound like most dealers would offer this kind of information ...
