I have a 2005 F150 5.4 triton V8 w/ 46800 mi. My cousin has a 2006 5.4 F150 with 51,000 miles, My business rep has a 2007 5.4 super crew with 54,000 miles. all 3 and more I have easily tested have the same engine shake vibration at 1300 to 1800 rpm when revving in park or neutral. Lab88: The only way to know a "good deal" is to shop around, check prices, and be willing to make a deal. The elusive "best deal" is all up to the customer and their requirements. Chis: I bought a 2007 Harley Davidson in December with the saleen package, discounted it about 7K off MSRP and they RARELY move off those vehicles. I'd look at invoice for your truck as the starting point, then subtract the rebates or choose the financing option. Great post. A very good breakdown of the market. I am hoping and praying i can purchase a new F-150 and give America one more shot at producing a quality, long term vehicle. My biggest concern is that Ford is not as financially stable as GM and has not pumped the necessary cash into their products to get the quality back up. Mr. Rube...True enough about Big3 being tougher than Tundra. I own a 1st gen. Tundra that is a total city truck; never worked an honest day in its life. Reliable as it gets, as was my 394K '85 SR5.
