Honda Element Maintenance and Repair

Re: Honda Element Owners: Problems & Solutions [pleiades]

We have a 2003 Element 5 spped manual fwd. Great car with a few really annoying issues. We had the drivers side passenger seat belt tensioner start malfunctioning almost from day one. At 41k miles, it finally locked up completely and would not release. I even removed the anchor bolt from the floor to maximize slack, and all it did was take up until the entire length ... Owned an 06 AWD Element for the past year (07-08)

:) My girlfreind purchased a used orange 2006 Element EX-P with AWD and every option available including the running boards, rear spoiler, fog lights, XM radio, floor mats, and mud flaps. It had 10,000 miles when she bought it and she now has almost 25,000. (one thing to keep in mind...if you can purchase a slightly used Honda Certified vehicle, you should do it...they ... Top 10 Design Winners and Losers

Just on a whim

There isn’t a 2007 xB so the 2006s are just seriously ugly. I will also agree the xA isn’t pleasing to look at either. Subaru’s decision to make the Tribeca and Impreza look like bottom-feeding suckerfish has to place them in the same boat. I am not too impressed with the Dodge Nitro looks wise. The Prius looks a lot like a loafer someone put wheels on and the Yaris hatch ... Read More...

2008 Honda Element

I Hope This Isn't It!

One of the main selling points for me with my 2006 Element was the suicide doors and the versatility with my music equipment, bicycles, day job equipment. If it looks and is wqupped like every other mid-size SUV, I'll either keep the one I have or get the SC. Does Honda have a clue about the Elements niche market? Read More...

2008 Honda Element

I think that the new 2009 Element is going to be like the Honda CrossRoad. I did some research last night, and I hate to say it, but I thik it is going to be. It goes on sale in Febuary in Europe and it's boxy, sits 7 and is about the size of a CR-V. here's some web places to check it out: http://www.autospies.com/news/Leaked-New-Honda-Crossroad-11078/ http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2006/12/honda-crossover-7seater-suvmpv.html ... Towing with a Honda Element

Re: Towing with a Honda Element [tmeidi]

I have a 2006 EX-P AWD Automatic with a dealer installed hitch. I tow a utility trailer that weighs about 850# empty. I can load it with a Polaris quad and some camping gear and the car tows heavy but stable. I've made short hauls (30 miles) with 1 to 1.2 ton loads of river rock - totaling almost 3,000 pounds. Again, the car felt heavy, and I stopped carefully, but it got ... Read More...

Honda Element Lease Questions

Re: Lease numbers for '06 EX-P [theomegaman]

Greetings theomegaman. Here is the information that you are looking for. Honda is not currently providing any sort of lease support on the 2006 Element. As a result, if you were to lease one through Honda Finance right now, you would have to use its standard lease program. Honda Finance's current buy rate standard lease money factor for 36 month terms is .00293 ... Read More...
