Whoa-whoa-whoa. Where in the world did you get that a Magnum weighs 5,200 pounds? It would only weigh that much if it were carrying 1,300 pounds of load. The V-6 Magnum that Consumer Reports tested back when weighed, I believe, 3,950 pounds. A Dodge Ram pickup Hemi might weigh 5,200 pounds. My (N.O.S.) 2006 AWD hemi gets around 12 MPG around town (I drive very conservatively most of the time). When the service manager took the car for a few days to diagnose a problem, he told me that HE got around 12.5, and didn't seem to think that it was out of the ordinary. On limited hwy miles, I have gotten around 21-22 MPG at 65-70 MPH (so much for the 4-cylinder shutdown ... Read More...

Do you have the TSB number? My 2006 300c AWD has the same exact problem but the dealer denies there is any TSB out there and doesn't notice the noise even when I drive the car with him in it. Read More...

I found that the residual for a 2007 Magnum RT RWD on a 36 month lease with 12,000 miles a year is 42%. The residual for a 24 month lease on a leftover 2006 is 36% for an essentially 3 year old car at lease end. So, with mine being 52% for a 15,000 mile/yr lease I should be able to get them down hopefully below 40%. If I can do that, I will probably buy the car as it would make the ... Read More...

Hey qbrozen. One can still lease a 2006 model through Chrysler Financial, but its lease program for leftover '06 models is pretty bad right now. It is no longer providing lease money factor support on them, so anyone who leases one through it has to use its standard lease money factors. I am also having the EXACT same problem with my 2006 Dodge Magnum, but I have an R/T with a HEMI engine. Rough idle for first two minutes with car shaking at red lights, AND it doesn't start at times after sitting for 2 to 4 hours after being driven. My car's build date is April 2006. Picked up my 2006 Magnum R/T AWD 3 weeks ago. Ten days later we were hit with 20" of snow (where else but Buffalo NY). The car handled extremely well, plowed thru with no problem. My main concern was possible damage driving over downed tree limbs but no damage, yeah... I just took in my 2006 Dodge Magnum to the dealer for the fourth time today as the check engine light came on AGAIN. It has less than 1400 miles on it. First they replaced the O2 sensor.
