I would say my trans problem was less of a out and out fluctuation, and more like the trans was slipping into neutral when I let off the gas, and then the engine would rev as I tried to re-accelerate. It would then eventually drop back into gear, which was very noticeable. Does your +,- toggle work on your shifter? Or is it malfunctioning like mine was? That seems to ... Read More...

I had the dealer do the trans service at 50k. My first thought when this problem cropped up was that the dealer didn't put enough tranny fluid back in. I'll never know. I complained to my service advisor and mentioned another call to Chevy (that's what it took to get my steering fixed) and he said I should get the shifter fixed first, which currently will not cycle ... I can predict that this year Accord will relegate Camry to 2nd place as a most popular car. Malibu has a chance to be #3. Oh I doubt that. Honda doesn't bargain. And Camry sales are up. What 10 Best award do you mean? MY fault. I meant Automobile magazine's 10 Allstars of 2008. Accord is a big car with same if not better mpg than Malibu and it is what American public want ... Although, I cannot say I am not surprised by the result, the Honda seems to be a terrific vehicle, although I have never test drove one, but I've seen one in person. Things that really don't make sense about this article, and it strictly deals with the Camry. As others have mentioned, why didn't you use the SE trim? I rec'd a V6 Sonata rental the other day from Enterprise. The Sonata is very powerful in V6 clothing. I believe articles that report they have had it as low as 6.9. there is nothing "wrong" with the 2008 Accord's styling but unlike Chevy it appears they put minimal effort into the design. Its obvious that design wasnt a high priority on that car. The Malibu may not be the greatest design ever but effort was made and its generally thought of as an attractive car. The accord seems to be modeled after the 2006 Sonata. BTW, my car ... A Chevy dealer in Lanham, MD has __7__ 2006 Malibu Maxx LTs and 2 2006 Malibu Maxx SSs, plus 1 2007 LT. The '06 LTs have listed invoices btw $20,600 and $23,358.
