Does anyone know how to remove the navigation dvd so that an upgraded disc can be installed? I owned a newly purchased 2005 Dodge Magnum R\T hemi and because of the model year (2005), I ordered and just received an upgrade navigaton disc, but with no instructions on how to remove the old one and install the upgrade. I just purchased a 2005 Dodge Magnum R\T (yes, its a Hemi :) ) with a navigation system. Since it was a 2005, I ordered an upgrade DVD for the Navigation system. I have a 2005 R/T AWD with 57,000 miles on the odometer. I live in Rochester, New York. I get 16-19 mpg around town depending on how slow I drive. On the highway I get 19-20mpg cruising at 75 mph. I once got 24 mpg on a long, flat road with a tail wind at 55 mph. The mileage is below the advertised figures, but that has been the case with every vehicle I have ever owned. I knew ... My 2005 Cool Vanilla Magnum RT AWD fully loaded is now 2 months new to me (33k). I wanted the SRT but needed AWD for Massachusetts winters on route 2.I am overall happy with purchase but there are some things I consider cons to the car. Whoa-whoa-whoa. Where in the world did you get that a Magnum weighs 5,200 pounds? It would only weigh that much if it were carrying 1,300 pounds of load. The V-6 Magnum that Consumer Reports tested back when weighed, I believe, 3,950 pounds. A Dodge Ram pickup Hemi might weigh 5,200 pounds. My 2005 R/T AWD and had the same shuddering problem during low speed turning. There is a TSB out there on this issue. The first time, the dealer flushed out the transfer case. When the shudder returned they replaced the transfer case. Haven't had the problem since the replacement. Read More...
