BMW X3: Lease Questions

Buying my X3 at the end of my lease

Hi all, I'm coming to an end of my 2005 X3 lease term in July and the dealer gave me an option to buy the car for $25,600 but I checked on Edmund for the TMV value of my car I found the following: Trade in: $20,766 Dealer: $23377 but is this price for a Certified car (included the extended BMW mantainance up to 100,000K) or is it not? I'm thinking to negotiate the price from ... Read More...

BMW X3

Update

Two weeks into the new X3 -- took it back to the dealer to have the Touch Signalling and Daytime Running Lights activated. No charge, free wash and vacuum, love the Touch Signalling -- dealer sales didn't even know about it, in fact claimed it did not work on the X3 since it doesn't have iDrive. Wrong! It works just fine. Loving the power and now the economy is improving ... Read More...

BMW X5 Recent Cold Temp Problems

Wow!

Let me start with my thanks to the posters who shared their experience with the cold weather issues the X5/X3s have had. WOW! I guess it's good to do a little research in advance. We are planning to replace one of our cars this summer, and I started my research early. One of the vehicles considered is the X3, probably CPO 2005-2007. What really concerned me was not ... Re: 2006 Pre Owned BMW X3 3.0 [utexas06]

On the surface, that does seem like a very good price for a 2006 X3. Just a couple small points: 1) If you know the last 8 digits of the VIN, a BMW service advisor should be able to give you service/repair history for that X3. 2) While I was shopping for a used X3 a few months ago, one dealer (not a BMW dealer) advertised "leather" seats on their 2005 X3 3.0i. Upon closer ... Read More...

Re: 2008 X3 lease - thoughts [expat2005]

Hmmm... I'm not sure why you say "an option-loaded model that was in the sub-$40K..." ? Based on the description of your 2005 X3, I'm guessing the MSRP was greater than $45K. For comparison sake, I have a 2004 X3, without Nav (and without Sports or Climate Package), which stickered at $44K. Take a look here within Edmunds for their "Full Test: 2004 BMW X3 3.0i" or ... Re: 2008 X3 [parlynn]

There are changes that may make the 2008 "just right." The main thing that has changed is the addition of an SAV package in addition to the Sport Package. The SAV package gives you shawdowline trim, 18" wheels and tires, aluminum running boards, an M3 like steering wheel (that can be ordered with HEAT!), but no sport suspension and with comfort seats instead of ... Re: Buying my 2005 X3 [reufim]

Hi, reufim... You might try asking your question here: General Questions about Leasing Vehicles. You might find a wider audience, since your question is more about leases and BMW, than X3 specific. regards, kyfdx Host-Prices Paid Forums Read More...

Re: CPO BMWs [cotmc]

Every time I say I will hold onto my car for several years, something else comes along! I haven't held onto one car for more than 3 years since 1993. I'm getting better at keeping my cars, but I relapse from time to time... :P As it stands now, I have one car that I've kept for almost twelve years(1995 318ti Club Sport) and one I've kept for five years(1999 Wrangler Sahara). ... Re: BMW X3, Prices Paid and Buying Experiences [sharkala]

I bought my 2005 X3 3.0 w/ Premium package, privacy glass, adaptive headlights Certified Pre-Owned for $29,275 before taxes and tags. It had 15,575 miles on it and is in outstanding condition. I found it through BMW's CPO site. I bought from Tom Bush BMW in FL and drove it back to Columbus, GA. We have a dealer here as well. My buying experience and experience with ... Read More...
