I am about to strangle someone at GM if they can't fix the "reduced engine problem" on my 2004 Chevy Tahoe. (The "reduced engine power" notice appears and the truck cuts down to about 2000 RPM's and either goes 5-10 MPH at most or completely dies out and we loose power and brake functions - this happens anywhere from taking it out of park, or going 65 MPH). I have a 2004 Tahoe with tan leather seats. What is your seat color? Or is the beige you mention? Is it the same as tan? I would call mine beige but I think they are called tan. Wonder if seat mounting would work between '04 and '07? My bench seat is also in very good condition, almost like new. i have a 2004 tahoe z71 and the speedometer and another gauge both broke 2 years ago and I took it to dealer to have it checked out they said pay $900 and we can fix it. I didn't have that much to drop on a simple problem. Now they tell me it was a defective part! but they won't fix it now! chevy sucks!!! Read More...

I too live in GA and have a 2004 Tahoe. The speedo stopped working around 65,000 and we attempted to fix once with no sucess. I now have 77,000 and am waiting on call back from GM as I was treated horibbly by Thornton Chevrolet in Lithia Springs. The 800 # to call to complain and ask for help is 800-630-2438. Good luck... Boy are you ever right. Issuing a recall would be a huge expense and would cost them a fortune so they are taking the easy way out. Well, they found nothing on performance inspection. Yet, when hubby got home he opened hood and coolant tank was almost 2 inches low!! They got a call from us! How could they miss that?
