When you say get it fixed for free does this mean you will try and get your $110.00 diagnostic fee back? This is what ticks me off about the dealerships. They know what is wrong and still charge you a fee to diagnose the problem. Every gauge on the instrument cluster will eventually fail. They all use the exact same stepper motor to operate. My husband and I have an 03 Tahoe and the speedometer is not working correctly. Chevy told me about the "Partial Recall" and of course ours does not fall within the 7 yr 70,000 mile stipulation. Do they really need to replace the whole cluster, or is it possible to replace or test the speed sensor? Please help if you have any suggestions!!!! Read More...

CD player won't initialize after inserting an original CD that had just been copied. Chevy service department says that the original CD is now corrupted, broke CD player and can't be repaired. Anyone have any solutions? Read More...

I just took my 2003 Tahoe (55,000 miles) in for the same thing. The mechanic found a bulletin from Chevrolet that discusses the problem and the solution. He printed it out for me. I am trying to find it online right now...but haven't yet. Basically, the 2002-2004 Tahoes/Suburbans have faulty air conditioning compressors. And they seize up. I thought it was just ...
