Hey I jus got bought my first car and it a cadillac deville 2003 with a northstar engine It has a little over 75,000 miles but while driving today It started to give off a foul smell i smelt like a rotten egg I check the engine and seen nothin then I looked ubder the car and seen sumthing hangin down it was drippin fluid and giving off steam can anyone help me out by tellin ... Hi I have a 2003 Cadillac Deville Dts. and since Nov 2007 it has been stalling. It seems to happend 1 evey three-four weeks. Then if i leave it off for a while it will turn back on wiht no problem. Or if I turn it off open all doors and let itslef reset it will start. It is soooo weird. I have taken it to Cadillac and they don't know whats wrong. I have already changed out the ... Read More...

www.cadillacforums.com has areas on it's site that will tell you how to push certain buttons on the dash and put the car into 'diagnistic' mode. This will then display all 'codes', both current and history. This site then also has areas that describe what each of the codes mean. A very limited description, but a description. I bought a 2001 Cadillac Deville in 2003. It was certified pre-owned. I have had problems with the car from day 1. I thought that not only did certified, but also the expensive price and luxury meant that I was purchasing a good car. The more that I hear, the more it seems that Cadillac is a problem car. I bought a 2002 Deville w/18,500 mile on it. Oil consumption was terrible. 2 quart in ~200 mile. Was told that the 2002 cadillacs had bad rings and pistons. Cadillac did nothing about a recall. Mine was still under warrantee, Cadillac put 2003 rings and pistons in it and it does not use more than a pint in 3000 mile now @63,000 mile. Original owner had problem from ... Read More...

You could bring your car to a cadillac dealer where they only specialize in Cadillacs and get an idea where you stand with how worn out your fluids are. Or anything else for that matter. My old Deville the plugs and wires lasted exactly 100,000 miles. Once I got about 100,100 miles it started to studder on the highway, and what do you know? One of the plugs were cracked. ... Talk to your local Cadillac service department first. You may be pleasantly surprised. They might give you a key and cut it free. You can get a replacement fob through ebay cheaper than the dealer probably and take it to your local service dept. and sometimes they will program it for you free also. Good luck. Read More...

How much do you want to spend? At 60,000 miles, the plug and plug wires are supposed to be good for 100,000 miles, but they might something to replace. Use only the original Cadillac wires, and I would also say to use the AC plugs (or maybe they are Denso by this year) recommended for the car (platium). Don't go for any of the multi-contact stuff, just get a platium plug ... Read More...
