Review

Honda, reliable, can't go wrong, right? Just a few months after purchase at about 60,000 miles I was informed they needed to replace the transmission. Ok, i had also purchase an extended warranty so i didn't pay anything out of pocket. Then I started seeing my ABS and TCS lights come on in the morning when I'd start my car, by the afternoon on the drive home they went away. Dealership used their computer diagnostic and said nothing was wrong so i ignored it too. Well now over 100,000 the lights don't go out and they tell me its a $1,200 job to replace the ABS modulator... I'm so happy, no not really.

Favorite Features

6 Disc CD changer-Key to long trips. Leather seats-very comfortable for long drives. V6 - Powerful enough to pass when needed and power out of bad situations.

Suggested Improvements

The V6 is nice, but the fuel economy isn't very good.

Review

I began by leasing my Honda in 2002. When the lease was up, I decided to purchase it. I've been very satisfied with my Honda. I traded a 1995 Aurora for it and although I LOVED my Aurora, the Honda has most of the same features. It's great on gas mileage and roomy enough for four people to travel comfortably. The stereo system really rocks and it's very easy to handle. I've only had to have routine maintenance and so far have had no major problems.

Favorite Features

I like the adjustable driver's seat, the color (fire pepper red pearl), and maneuverability.

Suggested Improvements

More controls on the steering wheel (i.e., volume, cruise); better retractable seat belts; better horn (mine sounds like a toy car); rear view mirror with night sensor.

Great Worker-Bee car

Review

Bought this brand new, now has 170,000 miles. Never did anything to it until I had 150,000. Still as tight and solid as the day I purchased it. Bulletproof reliability, and holding up very well. For the person who spends countless hours in their vehicle, the Honda Accord is it. Nothing too fancy, but just everything right. I want to get the 2008, but one problem. My 2002 still running like a new car.

Favorite Features

The sum of all parts! The leather, stereo, sunroof, engine, CD player,,,,what is not to like.

Will never own another Honda

I've grown up always hearing how Nice Hondas were how they ran forever as Long as u change the oil and do the maintenance. Finally I bought one because I was driving 100 Miles a day I needed a car I could afford and it would still hold its value. Well what a let down my Honda has been I bought it with 60,000 Miles on it w no warranty and 2 months after buying it the trans starting slipping. Now with 130,000 Miles on it and even if I replace the trans its only worth $4000 what a disappointment.

Wood grain and silver interior looks real sharp

Suggested Improvements

Honda needs to bite the bullet and recall 2002 Honda for their trans. I Will never buy another Honda!!!!!!

Review

I bough this car in April of 2006. I was looking at all the cars in the lot and this one caught my eye. I was impressed form the second I laid eyes on it. The feel, comfort, maneuverability, handle and ease of use are all excellent. The only drawback w\this car (like most Hondas) is cabin noise. Other than that, this car is virtually flawless. I recommend buying an accord as long as you are willing to put some money into preventative maintenance. It reminds me of a recent ad on tv where a woman asks when you turn your car on does the car return the favor. In my case...you're damn right it does! :-)

Favorite Features

My fave features: power moon roof, cruise control, keyless entry, and PLENTY of storage space(way to go Honda!).

work on the noise in the cabin when the car is at high speeds

Minor gripes but overall very good

Review

Overall awesome car but I do have a few gripes. Some interior pieces are cheaply made (i.e. rear cup holders) and occasionally I get some rattles but nothing too bad. Cup holder up front is a bit crowded if you stick a Big Gulp in there. My SRS light has been on for 6 mo...took it to get looked at...there was apparently no problem but light has decided to stay on. Gas mileage with wide performance tires is still at about 32 on the highway which is nice when gas is $3.40 a gallon. Around town gas mileage has been as bad as about 21- 22. Plenty of get up and go for a 4 cyl. Leather is of very high quality as are most of the other materials in the interior.

Favorite Features

CD changer, Leather, Gas Mileage, Overall Comfort- It's a great highway/commuter car...good mileage but still has enough creature comforts to satisfy.

Suggested Improvements

Well the new Accord coupes look awesome, with even more bold styling. Like I said I only have a few minor gripes which I already listed.

Another Solid Accord

The 2002 Special Edition Accord is a rock solid car. 25-30 MPG. Exceptionally low maintenance. Mammoth trunk. A bit lacking in power (no V6), but more than capable. Still elegant inside and out after 6 years. Odometer and Clock are unusable after dark due to poor choice in LCD technology. Comfortable ride both on highway and in town. Plenty of room for the whole family. Cup holder door latch is flimsy and will probably drive you nuts. Another great Accord to add to the list of Accords I've owned. Buy with confidence.

Review

We bought the car with only 13k on it, so I can't say much about reliablity, but man is it fun to drive! It also gets looks everywhere I drive it, even though it's stock. The leather seats are very comfortable. The only problem with the coupe is that if you are not careful you'll beat your head on the roof getting in (ouch!). Other than that, I would buy another one in a minute.

Favorite Features

The premium stereo can go loud enough to make you deaf while still sounding clear. Style.

Suggested Improvements

They could raise the roof, or lower the seats, but then it wouldn't look so good. No suggestions.

As Good As They Say!

Review

This is my 3rd Honda (2nd Accord). I haven't had any major problems with this car at all. The drivetrain has been perfect. Only routine maintenance and at 72,000 miles, she still runs like a champ. Oddly enough, the fuel mileage has gotten better with age. The I-4 motor has plenty of power. The ride is still smooth. I can see keeping this car for another 100,000 miles before I even consider selling it for another Honda.

Favorite Features

Comfortable seats. Easy to use and reach controls. Clean dash display. Surprisingly large trunk. Nice to be able to drive 500+ miles on the highway without stopping!

Suggested Improvements

I haven't been in a newer Accord, so some things may have been improved. The cup holder is awkward in this model. It's pretty cramped if you and a passenger both have drinks.

My first non US big 3 car and I love it. Fun to drive, very reliable. I have over 100,000 miles and I'm still on my 1st set of brakes!

Favorite Features

Quick response in traffic. Controls are simple and in the right place.
