A problem with the fuel injectors could cause the service engine soon (SES) light illumination, low power, hard start and/or fuel in crankcase. On some vehicles, this problem may be covered by the manufacturer Special Policy Adjustment # 04039A. Contact your local dealer for more information. A periodic problem on this vehicle is failure of the Catalytic Converter(s) (on 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L engines only). The cost to replace the Fuel Pressure Regulator for the Duramax Diesel is estimated at $440.00 for parts and $65.00 for labor.
