My wife owns a 2001 Dodge Neon with an automatic transmission that has now gone bad. She drove over a piece of pipe in the street and put a hole in the bellhousing. I am trying to find a replacement for the car at a really reasonable price. Either the bellhousing or a used transmission. Does anyone have any leads on a good place to start loking? Read More...

I also have a plymouth neon and there is no difference in the seat covers. 2000 and 2001 the dodge and plymouth neon are the exact same parts. Read More...

Hi there I have a dodge neon 2001. and I need some help from you guys. looks like I have a electrical problem In think so this is the reason why im here. We have owned three Neons a 1996, 2001 and a 2004. All have gotten more than 33 miles a gallon on a trip. The back seat was for children only as it is a tight squeeze. But the car was less than 2700lbs and the engine with a real automatic transmission worked great. We still have the 1996 and it has 195700 miles on it. Hey, I have a 2001 Dodge Neon R/T and I noticed my front driver floor board is wet. I haven't checked the other floor boards yet but I think the driver rear is too because of a stain on a paper that was laying back there. Anyone have any ideas of where the water may be coming from. Obviously Dodge has learned variuos lessons in order to have updated them in 2001 with the more modern superior style, but what happened with the Caliber?? Neon Manual Tranny Problems

Can someone please help? I just got the tranny fluid on the manual transmission of my 2001 Dodge Neon RT drained and refilled and now when I cruise down the freeway in 5th gear at 75mph or so. The stick likes to randomly pop out of fifth into neutral. What gives? Could this be a fluid issue? I wonder however that I may have some sort of gear box problem and the clean fresh ... We have a 2004 Neon SXT automatic. We have 38,000miles on it and the ONLY problem has been a CD player that kept holding on to the CD for a day or so. The CD player was replaced by the dealer under the 7/70. We have had three Dodge Neons. We still have a 96 Dodge neon with 178,000 miles on the original engine. We have a 2004 SXT. Consistently we get 31 to 32mpg. At times when we have 4 in the car and a full trunk, going against the wing we have gotten as bad as 28mpg. We use BP 87 octane and mobil 5-30 at the dealer. I change oil every 4 to 5,000 miles. We have 35,000 miles on it with original plugs. I dumped the oe tires at 8,000 miles and put M&S Cooper 195 65 15 tires. They lasted ... Read More...

This happened to me a couple years back to my 2001 dodge Neon. I took it to the dodge dealer 3 times and was ready to apply the lemon law. They were never able to find the problem after the 3rd trip there they claimed they changed some wires and it never happened again. They claimed they never had seen this problem before.
