Review

I got this car at 40,000 miles for free from my dad. It took some getting used to but it is alright for now. It's too floaty and can't get comfortable in the front seats. Ford needs to redesign this 70's interior. Pay me a couple hundred grand and I will tell you how to do it Ford. It is obvious you are overpaying your help with this one. The only thing I like about it is it has not broken down yet. What the heck is wrong with Ford for not having anti-lock brakes standard on this car. Give me a break. It's like I am in my dad's Impala from the 70's. The car has decent headlights and hopefully will get me around this winter with no problem.

Favorite Features

Favorite features are the compass and the cassette player since I feel I am driving a 70's car I might as well put in my favorite Boston tape.

Suggested Improvements

Scrap this car entirely, it's the new millenium for God sakes. Come on Ford. No wonder you are going bankrupt.

Review

Good solid comfortable car for the whole family. I'm only 25 years old and people say that I drive an old man car but so what. With a V-8 that gets 25 mpg and all the power in the world, I can't complain at all. Smooth, smooth, smooth!

Favorite Features

Gas mileage, comfort, and roominess

Suggested Improvements

Better turning radius

Review

I'm a 21 year old and this is my first car I ever bought and let me tell you it's an awesome car. Now I see why cops and taxi cab drivers use them. I've driven these kinds of cars since I was 17 this being the 3rd one I've driven and first one I've bought and owned. I've driven a 95 model and another 99 model that my father owns. This car only has 37,500 miles on it right now. It had 27,450 when I bought it for less then $7 grand. I have the GS model but I have leather seats. It rides and handles really smooth and has good pick up for it's size. It's not no Mustang or race car but it can keep up and has the power when needed.

Favorite Features

4.6L V8 which can always be upgraded with more power, handling, comfort, decent gas mileage (around 18 combined), large trunk, good stock speakers, cruise control, luxury feel, good bang for the buck.

Suggested Improvements

Could always use more power of course but has enough to get around and keep up with people. Makes a click sound which could be fixed hopefully if it hasn't yet. Nothing more I can say that needs improvements I love the design and hope they don't change it too much when they redesign it in 2009.

Review

This has been a great car. I bought it used with about 40000 miles on it and now I have about 100000 miles. While it is not an exciting car to drive it has proved to be very reliable, it uses no oil between changes, handles very well for a vehicle of it's size. I commute about 20 miles to work about 75% interstate highway and I am averaging about 20 mpg, on long highway runs I have gotten as high as 26 mpg, but can usually count on about 24 mpg. If hope to keep this car another 10 years and when the time comes find another slightly used one.

Favorite Features

Huge trunk, great highway mileage, very reliable

Suggested Improvements

More comfortable seats, better location for front cupholders, independent rear suspension

With few minor modification under the hood, high performance tires & shocks this car will leave others eat the dust. Winter tires for snow & the snow plow follows my tracks. With ECM(Computer) from sister Crown Vic.(Police Interceptor) you won't believe increase in performance. A true monster
