if you replaced the trans on your own a couple of things to check before you do anything major mlps (manual lever position sensor) does it read right on the dashif not readjust it or the shift interlock solenoid may not function.check fuses for blown fuse may also cause shift interlock solenoid not to work...hope this helps Read More...

I just replaced the transmission and it won't shift into gear. It was acting up before the transmission went it out. I think it is the sensor on the brake pedal. Any ideas? Is this hard to replace? Read More...

My tahoe is a 99 model, it acts like it is stuck in 2nd gear all the time. I've been told it was the ignition swicth. Cause it carries current to the moduales in the transmission. Is this true or do I have other problems? :sick: Read More...

Could be a number of driveline things, but a bigger question--why do you think your 4wd can't be turned off? There wasn't a single '00-06 Tahoe equipped like that, as all 4wd models got 2Hi, 4Hi, 4Lo as choices to run in via push button. So it's a bit odd why you said that. I replaced my Crankshaft Position Sensor and did not have any problems. And I did not need to run any re-learn process. By my Chevy dealer shop new crank shaft position sensor can set the DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code), i.e. lit up the check engine light but even when this happens the truck will run. They have changed everything from sensor wires, gas tank, battery, vacumn hose, so many things we cant remember.
