Hey, im Bryan. I think that its great that they are bringing back the supra to the U.S. Its not my favorite looking supra from the drawings that ive seen of the prototype. I think they should keep the same body style, but add some new features to it such as LED brake lights, re-designed interiors, and some more engine options, but thats all i think they should change. ... I have a 1998 Toyota Supra TT and it has about 455 hp. And I have a Aston Martin V12 Vanquish with 500 hp are more its a very nice car. The new 2007 supras will look similar to the 98 version but not exactly the same if you look at the 2007 Supra and a 98 Supra if you can till the head lights are in the same place but not exactly the same shape and the tail lights are almost the same ... the last year they sold the Supra in the U.S., the list price for the base model with the NA motor was about $33K. Even the twin turbo was only $42K, or something like that. Now in 1995 the twin turbo reached $50K sticker, and Toyota realized it had gone too far. It promptly gave all the existing owners the shaft (bye bye resale value!) by lowering the price $10K for the ... Read More...
Finally...
Toyota will bring back the ungodly fast Supra if they intend to compete w/their counterparts (Nissan, Honda, etc). It's about time they stopped making only 'family type' sedans, vans etc, good for soccer moms, grandpa/grandmas, etc. There always was a market for a sports car, and discontinuing it in 1998 was IMHO, a mistake.
