Honda Accord Coupe

Re: 1998 accord coupe tranny problem [ricobill]

I had the V6 1998, bought it in March of the year it first came out (new body style). I loved that car but just traded it in this past March for the new V6 exl with navi. I had to decide between replacing the tranni on the 1998 with a rebuilt from Honda or buy the new car. I opted for trading it in because I've been hearing tons of problems with that tranni and figured if I bought ... Read More...

Honda Accord vs. Toyota Camry vs. Volkswagen Passat

Platforms / bodble2

Honda Accord (1998-2002) Maintenance and Repair

maintence light

I've owned my 1998 4 cylinder Honda Accord for a bout 2 1/2 years, and since I got it, it has had this problem which no one can seem to solve. It started off by cutting off when driving my car after it had been sitting for a long period of time (like overnight). When I would push the accelerator the car would shake a little and just cut off (which has put me in some pretty dangerous ... Read More...

Honda Accord I4 vs V6

Re: Best yet for 08 EXL-V6 Sedan [malmouza]

Two things: The 4-cylinder's in today's mainstream market (except for Subaru's "boxer" engine) are inline 4, not V4. Not trying to chastise you, just sharing so that a dealer won't try and take advantage of you thinking you don't know your stuff. :) Now you do! Also, the new Accords do not weigh 4,000 - 4500 pounds. Closer to 3,300. A 1998 Accord 4-cyl would weigh ... Read More...
