I drained the power steering fluid, oil and gas. it now starts okay but when i put any load on the engine it seems to bog right down and has no power. It is a 5 spd manual and i'm hearing ... Ford Ranger Seats and Interior
Re: Power seats for Ranger - what years? [suec56]
I really don't understand why you need this info. You are going to have to go to a salvage and ask them if they have power seats for a Ranger. You already have seem to found that the year must be pre-1998. (Are you sure you can't get power seats in a later Ranger? This would seem to be a pretty basic option, and I can't see Ford dis-continuing such a thing.) On my 1994 STX ... Read More...
Power seats for Ranger - what years?
I'm looking to upgrade from my 1995 Ford Ranger and would really like to get the power seat option. As far as I can tell by the sales brochures, that ended in 1998. Can anyone tell me specifically which years have the option of a power driver's seat? Thanks Sue Read More...

Re: 1995 Ranger 4x4: wont engage 4Low/4High [pvolc15]
My 1998 Ford Ranger 4 liter auto with electronic shift on the fly seems to not be shifting into high or low 4wd. The dash light indicates 4 high but not low. I read the post about solenoid but I am wondering if it could be a fuse problem before the solenoid. Any help appreciated. :( Read More...
Wow, I can't believe what I'm reading.
My story is as follows: I drive a Ford Ranger 1998 4 cylinder with approx. 180,000 miles, pickup as a courier for an Environmental Analysis Lab. I drive about 850 miles per week. I increased my MPG from an average of 27 mpg to 29.8mpg. It works out that for every .07 cents I spend on the additive I save about .22 cents. Thats good economics. If youd like more free info; ...
