1998 Dodge Neon Turn Signal Problem
I have a 1998 Dodge Neon R/T. When I use the left turn signal the indicator light on the dash flashes at about 5 times the normal rate. Both front signal lights are flashing as well. The rear light is not flashing. I replaced the bulb which didn't help the problem. The owners manual says that it the lights don't flash at all then it could be a bulb but does not reference ... Need help deciding 1998 neon by barexy
I am driving a 99 Plymouth Neon and we just got rid of a 99 Dodge Neon RT (Daughter traded for a Sebring Convertible). We bought both cars new. The RT had about 65,000 miles when we got rid of it. My other daughter Bought a Kia Optima and I kept her old car, the Plymouth Neon because it has $5400 worth of hail damage and was worth nothing as a trade. The Plymouth has about ... Read More...
Revised Expresso information...
The sporty appearance package available on the Neon (Dodge and Plymouth) was called Expresso for the 1996 model year. The "Sport" designation did not hit the Neon until the 1998 model year. So there were "Expresso" labeled Dodge and Plymouth Neons. Beanboy: Don't mind you checking my facts at all. Matter of fact, I do research for a living, so try to be right on ... Read More...

Wife's car is a '95 Highline bought off the truck in Nov.1994. Oh God the crap that has happened to that car both mechanically and accidents. Computer was reprogrammed a few times in first 9 months. ... Read More...
Neons
I currently am 33 months into a 5 year lease on my 1998 Plymouth Neon Expresso. I'm pretty happy with it and had very little problems like the head gasket, but that was covered in the warranty. I have 29,000 miles so far and am in need of 2 new tires. Im looking to upgrade now so Im in the car market again. One thing I was wondering is if I am going to get penalized if I try to ... heckle2.....commen sense
My opinion, only! There is no such thing as a good NEW car for $11,000. There is one possible exception, a modestly trimmed out 2000 Toyota Echo. There is a problem with laying out $11,000 of your hard earned cash, it's called BUILD QUALITY. The domestic car manufactures can't produce a new vehicle in that price range, with any decent build quality, or for that matter ... Read More...
P.S.
I have never owned a Dodge, Jeep, or Chrysler because I know better. My cousin had a 1998 Wrangler in which the rotors went at 9300 miles. Since the car was 1 month and 3 days over 1 year, Chrysler wasn't going to replace them. After my attorney sent them a nice little letter, they came and got the car from home and replaced the rotors, and washed and waxed the vehicle, ... Read More...
1998 Dodge Neon Sport - blown head gasket
Hello all! Just to let you know, my 1998 Neon Sport blew the head gasket three days ago. A friend of mine told me to research it on the Internet because he heard it was a widespread problem. I have since found that it is indeed a model-wide and engine-wide problem (for the Breeze/Stratus/Cirrus with the same engine). I am currently embroiled in a battle with Daimler-Chrysler ... Dodge Neon '98, auto transmission
Hello everybody! I got a question about Dodge Neon 1998 (or, maybe, this is common for all Neons with auto transmission?...). I am going to buy this car in a few days and tested it yesterday. Before I was driving only japanize cars and and driving Neon was my first experience with small american cars. Is it common that you feel when you change gears? From R to D , lets ... Read More...
