I think you should go to the local auto parts stores, and see if they can scan for the transmission trouble-codes. I don't know of any one digit codes (7). Have you checked the fluid level? Read More...

I have a 1995 honda accord 4 speed automatic transmission the 4 th gear indicator has a green light surrounding it and it is constantly flashing when the key is turned on. Good post graduate. My son's 2007 V6 actually weights 3276 on his registration. As for the Acura - I would have to say based on my experiences driving both Generation 1 with 161 HP and a Gen II Coupe with 230 HP that those engines were WAY under rated. Have owned 4 Acura Legends from 1986 and still have a 1995 with 140K miles. Owned 1980 Accord. Attraction for me with these cars has been the ability to keep them for a lot of years and register high mileage. My 95 Legend is still a very solid car and terrific to drive. I find the 08 Accord V6 sedan very appealing but the VCM may deter me and certainly the comments on this ... Read More...

My 08 EXL-V6 has been OK here in NE over this past very hot week. Not knowing the model years of your previous Honda's/Acura's, and whether or not they were models using freon as opposed to the current refrigerants(R134A?), but I have found that freon would provide almost instant cooling and R134A would take 5-10 minutes to get a good chill going. EGR--exhaust gas recirculation. That's what everyone calls it. The cruise control is on the steeering. That could be a problem with a fuse or the unit itself could have a bad control module.
