Re: I need help for my 1993 Honda Civic [kiawah]
Actually, it sounds more like a cracked head, where the crack is at the top of the combustion chamber in one of the cooling jackets. The pressure from the combustion chamber is getting into the cooling system, which is why you blew your radiator and then the hoses. It is also why you don't see coolant/oil contamination. Replacing the hoses with the radiator wouldn't ... Read More...
Re: I need help for my 1993 Honda Civic [amysboxers]
You probably blew a head gasket, which sits on top of the engine block/cylinders, and under the head that contains the valves. The gasket keeps cylinder gas in the cylinders and engine where it belongs, and coolant water in the cooling circuit for cooling. When the gasket blows, coolant gets into the engine and oil (very bad), and oil gets into the coolant system ... Read More...
I need help for my 1993 Honda Civic
My Honda Civic maybe on it's last leg and I desperately need help! I will try and sum it up for you as best as I can. The car problems started about a year ago. My husband replaced the radiator with a brand new radiator from NAPA. However, he did NOT replace any of the hoses. At the time I did not realize this was a big NO NO. I do a lot of road trips and I took a 8 hour road trip ... Read More...

I replaced the window regulator with motor. I purchased a used one from a local honda salvage yard. I also purchased a CD for this auto off ebay, BIG Help. I also did research with the honda cd and found that the main relay was bad. This was my starting problem. So if you have trouble with your vehicle I would recomend you purchase a CD for your vehicle. Thanks again, ... Read More...

For your no-start it sounds as if it could be an intermittent fuel pump relay problem. Read More...
Honda Civic 1993 Repairs
My 1993 honda civic window stops at about one inch from the top. I think it will need a window lift motor. Anyone know how to remove and renew this motor? I also have a problem with it not starting all the time. I installed new plugs and wires with a new fuel filter, but this didn't help. Also had a fuel pump installed, still no help. Someone told me that if could be the pressure ... Read More...
1993 Honda Civic EX (170,000 miles) - cracked frame ?
Does it make financial sense to repair the vehicle? I currently own a 1993 Honda Civic Coupe (170,000 miles). Last week, I had the vehicle checked for noise. The Midas technician asked if this vehicle had been involved in a collision, and pointed to a cracked frame in the passenger rear side. I told him no collision or accident whatsoever. The only possibility ... Read More...
1993 Honda Civic brake problem.
I have a 1993 honda civic. The brakes are spongy and pedal travels all the way down before brake holds but only this happens when outside temperature reaches high 80's or so. In the early morning or during the winter the brake holds perfectly. I have bled the system thinking there may be trapped air. Checked the vacuum check valve for suction and is ok. What could ...
