Review

Bought this in 1998 and it only had 4k miles on it....just like new in the guys garage and he had a 93 coupe for sale as well. Car is just like new, in looks and in every other way.

Review

Have a 1992 Convertible with the removable fiberglass top. This car has been great overall. I am relatively rough on cars (acceleration etc) and the vette holds it's own. The tranny went around 78K which was a big suprise (as my brother's 1987 has 150K miles and is still on the original tranny). Even with the tranny I still think this car will last another 3 years easy.

Favorite Features

I love the handling and acceleration. With the top down on summer nights it gives you a great feeling of utility and enjoyment. Engine is VERY reliable!

Suggested Improvements

Make sure the C6 has a smaller back end like the 1984-1996 models did. I really do not think a Vette should need to carry suitcases etc. GM needs to keep it a true performance and style car.

Review

I bought the '92 with 92000 miles on the clock and after a year of flat out fun, have about 101000 miles and as many smiles! The true American Sports Car is alive and well!!

Favorite Features

POWER! 300 Horses through a 6-speed tranny is an adrenalin rush! Active handling keeps it all on the road!

Already improved, the latest generation is awesome!

Real Sportscar

Review

When I got this car I could have bought a new C5 Corvette (97+), but I think this car is more of a traditional sportscar. It doesn't ride quite as nice as the C5, and it doesn't have some of the comfort features, but it does really make you feel like you are a part of the car. You don't just sit down in the car, you strap it on. Plus with a few minor modifications, my car is just as fast as the newer Vettes, and it cost a whole lot less. Finally, for some reason I just like the exterior styling of this car better than the newer ones. The C5s have a rather large rear end, where this car is perfectly proportioned.

Favorite Features

Lots of power and excellent handling.

Suggested Improvements

Really the only thing that needs improving is the flex in the chasis when the top is off. That is being addressed by an aftermarket company right now, and the product should be available by the end of 2002.

I love this corvette. I have had a 1980 and a 1973 and those were nice but no comparison to this car. I put a set of chrome Z06 wheels on it and it makes the car look 100% better. i have done a few alterations to push about 330hp. I am thinking about putting a lingenfelter supercharger on it. If i do that i could be pushing out 450+ hp. Now that would be a VIPER KILER!
