213,000 miles with no major and very few minor problems, except a/c not working at present. Starts easily, runs great pulling my boat and hauling all my crap. I've had such good luck with it that I just bought another Ranger. I hate to sell this one. It's running so good that 300,000 seems like it would be no problem. (4 cyl. by the way).

Only owned it for 2 years. 220,000km on it and have had next to no repairs. Muffler was only problem, body starting to look a little tired but it still gives me no trouble starting, and surviving harsh Canadian winters.

The mirrors have always annoyed me, blowing in the wind.

This truck has deleverd pizzas, pulled crew-cab longe bed duellies out of sand and moved me around the great state of texas for more that three years. Just now rolling over 166,000 miles I am starting to have trouble with the second clutch. I must say that this little truck is one of the best investments I have ever made. I have collided head on with a wood post metal rail guardrail at 45 mph and just broke the supports to the guardrail. I have taken the motor over 5500 rpm countless times while spanking small import cars with flashy bodywork. Only small repairs, such as a waterpump at 145,000, and the normal tune up and brake jobs needed.
Favorite Features
Bullit Pruff motor. Strong Frame. Can tow a 19' ski boat and get it out of the water on very steep launch ramps
Suggested Improvements
Interior build quality on the door handles and door latches. Mine have both fallen off/ripped off from normal use. Door latches are getting hard to open on driverside, while the passenger side broke around 110,000 miles with much less use on it???????

Review
This truck is the only automobile I have ever owned. I've never truly liked it as the ride isn't too comfortable, and only has room for two but it's been highly reliable. I've never had a concern for it's well being and on numerous occasions have gone well past redline (not sure on that as there is no tach). I've treated it badly, my brothers (only two other owners) treated it badly, it looks bad thanks to a bad aftermarket paintjob, and gets pretty bad gas mileage 14city/23highway I once decided that if the engine siezed up that my parents would buy me a new car, so i didn't put oil in for 6 months (i'm guessing 7,000 miles) but the engine never quit.
Favorite Features
very reliable, at 140,000 miles it's still going. driving in the rain is always fun with very little weight over the drive wheels
Suggested Improvements
the stock mirrors are horrible, I have had to replace them 3 times due to wear in the ball joint, not that this matters as they don't use the mirrors on new fords

I love this truck!

Since buying the truck, I have had few problems. I have replaced wear items, like brakes and the muffler, as well as a head gasket. The truck now has 127,000 miles. It has performed it's duties as daily transportation and work truck well. It has driven us back and forth to work, as well as hauled building materials for home repairs without fault.

The power the little 4 cylinder has- it's fun to drive. And it's always fun to ask for 8 spark plugs for a 4 cylinder!
Suggested Improvements
Better under coating!
