I have a deville, it wont start, i have checked into many possibilities, like checking for spark, (there is) New fuel pump, filter, and strainer, put new alternator in, new battary, so now i am looking into the fuel being the issue at hand. I wish I could offer some specific advice but unable to do that you need to either take it to a Cadillac dealer or to an independent garage that knows the Cadillac auto line. I have a 1990 Cadillac DeVille with about 86,000 miles on it. I bought it from someone who seldom drove the car obviously. However I have had to put a fair amount of money into the car. I have a 1990 Cadillac deVille (4.5 V-8). It has about 119k miles on it. Had the radiator replaced recently. However, I recently noticed some coolant leaking from the left side of the car (drivers side). Can someone tell me which hose might be leaking (upper/lower?). I have a 1990 Cadillac Deville. Experiencing the following problem: Car begins to start, turns over, then cuts out after 2-3 seconds. Sometimes security light comes on, sometimes not. Topgun, I see your point. I guess we have to acknowledge that foreign luxury cars (Infiniti, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz)are the most sought after luxury cars. Cadillac has fallen off the mountaintop. Yes I know about the American, japanese, and the german car market. I lived it every day for 35 years with General Motors. They were trying to unload all their 'inhouse' suppliers. The big problem was the 'just in time' inventory they were trying to maintain and still produce car and car parts like they did 20-30 years ago. They have to control the suppliers completely ...
