The first question is Toyota's have a security lock-out for their trunks and hatches so they cannot be opened with the little lever up by the driver's seat. If the key slot is in the vertical position, you can pull the lever to pop the trunk. Got $10,000 for my 2007 Hatchback

I traded my Yaris in for a Lexus. I got $10,000 for a 2007 with crank windows. Resale is awesome. Got a good deal for the Lexus too. The Toyota dealership ran out of Yaris's and wanted my car badly. I had the same problem with my Ford Escort wagon. I learned to clean out the cabin air intake tunnel with a vacuum hose. I was annoyed to learn that Toyota did not install the cabin air filter in the US version of the Toyota Yaris. My 2007 Yaris hatchback comes with a slot for the cabin air filter. It is located behind the glove box. I have two on order. Paid about $20 for both of them from an Ebay store. I got the second one for my daughter's 2008 Yaris Sedan. Read More...

Well I would blame myself except for one fact, they had already taken the money BEFORE they gave me the car so this is not my fault at all - I have bought quite a few used cars and know when to walk away - both my wife and I test drove the car and both agreed for a 2007 Yaris it was in very good condition - what came out afterwards was that this car had a been a daily fleet rental ... I think that if I had the problem caused by lack of a cabin air filter on my Yaris (which I don't on my 2007 Yaris hatchback), I would probably break down, go on Ebay and spend the $15 including shipping, it would take to buy one for my car. Read More...
