2011 Toyota Venza 4dr Wagon (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
I've had the 2011 Venza for a month now.
It has steadily grown on us.. what we initially liked, now we LOVE! This is a very comfortable car with lots of headroom, legroom and width! My 3 sons are all 6'3" and they fit in the back seat with lots of legroom! It drives very well and handles well. Its not a sports car, but it handles better than our old Honda Odyssey Minivan, and my Toyota 4-Runner.
Plenty of power (v6) and all the solid technology (Nav, sat, cd, ipod, etc) you need in a car these days. Gas mileage is about 20 around town and 25 on the highway (80mph).
Excellent build quality all around.
Panoramic sunroof is really a nice feature.
Interior room for a 5 seater is excellent, especially if you are are tall.
There is NO other car with the rear legroom this one has. I looked around at all the options and none have the legroom and headroom this one has.
Handles quite well, good acceleration and smooth ride. This thing runs well on the highway at 85 and has no discernible wind noise. It seems like you are going much slower than you are.. its that smooth.
Nav/Radio/Rear backup camera and voice command system all work well, but take a bit to master.
Bluetooth integration with all of our phones works well.
Ipod integration is excellent so you can see/pick library and playlists from main nav screen!
Paint is flawless.
Why 20 inch rims and the associated low profile tires?
Looks like 18 inch marginally higher profile tires would have sufficed easily! The front bumper is a bit low so watch out for the high curbs. The rear storage compartment is actually smaller than it looks, especially height wise.
Buying a big screen TV and taking it home from the store, required folding down the seats.
The leather seats are comfortable, but the grain of the middle sections and the contrasting piping seem a bit out of place (ok.. marginally tacky).
