Recently bought a 2010 Venza. Fun to drive. The exterior is very attractive but wish the interior was built with better quality materials and/or craftsmanship. Interior road noise can be an issue (nosier than one would think) but I'm use to it now. IF NOTHING ELSE, look carefully at the interior for defects. In mine, the panels do not fit together well and gaps where dashboard panels meet are wider than should be. Some are warping ever so slightly -- some may not notice it but I did while sitting traffic. Since the car is so new, I haven't driven the car long enough or put in enough miles to see how it performs mechanically but so far so good.
Panoramic sunroof and sound system. Handling is like a sedan -- big plus -- and it also sits higher as well.
In terms of safety, sight lines when backing up -- there is a blind spot (by rear roof supports) to the drivers left just large enough to hide a pedestrian or a small car. More interior insulation against noise. Better interior materials.
