Re: Article Comments - 2009 Toyota Venza First Drive [kdhspyder]

those 40-50k buyers will not be going to toyota either, probably lexus. sequoia sold about 2k a month, not a lot will be replaced by a venza(imo). i see one sequoia (ct) on a regular basis. the venza missed the marketing window, just bad timing. Read More...

Re: Venza- Way Better than I Imagined [lovcars]

The lease on my Lexus GS430 is up and I want to move into something more practical in terms of cost and capabilities. A crossover has the capabilities I want, but everything I look at leaves me wanting to go running back to my GS. The RX is still very pricey, as is the Infinity FX35. What I really have been looking for is a crossover with the amenities of my Lexus without ... Read More...

Good Venza Article with Excellent Pics

This is one of the better Venza "first drive" articles I have seen. The Gallery has lots of good pics, including some closeups (I think one shows those door handle hash marks for locking the vehicle). http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/11/first-drive-2009-toyota-venza/ Read More...

Re: Venza & Hylander [qs933]

I have owned vehicles with both types of tire pressure monitors and I prefer the one that just warns you when a tire is low. Frequent, minor pressure changes that are caused by normal conditions, such as outside temperature and driving conditions can drive you nuts thinking there may be something wrong. But that's just me. I doubt you will find a fully loaded MKX ... Read More...

Toyota Venza Lease Questions

Re: Venza Lease [bjgcpa]

Given that the 2009 RX is on the way out, it's not too surprising that there will be some excellent deals as dealers try to move as many units as possible before the 2010 model hits in a few months. I don't think you can go wrong with a good deal on an '09 RX. The RX is missing some features found in the Venza (and the 2010 RX) such as the Smart Key, but it does have things not ... Read More...

Venza Lease

The Toyota web site now allows you to calculate the cost of a lease. So I did. I also priced out leases on Highlanders and did my homework. Right now, you can lease a 2009 RX-350 for $100 to $150 per month less than new similarly equipped Venza or Highlander lease. Wont ast long. The 2010 RX-350s are coming out in Feb or March 2009 and I think the dealers are liquidating ... Read More...

Re: Article Comments - 2009 Toyota Venza First Drive [qs933]

The Venza is very similar to a Volvo XC70 in dimensions, ground clearance, and cargo capacity. So I don't think Toyota can say that they've come up with anything new. Read More...

Re: Article Comments - 2009 Toyota Venza First Drive [md_outback]

One final comment, Toyota's claim that the Venza creates a new segment continues to ignore the Subaru Outback. I'm still not sure why everyone is still so worked up about Toyota's marketing hype around their positioning of the Venza. All companies are going to claim their new product breaks new ground, totally "revolutionizes" a segment, or "reinvents" it. ... Read More...

Re: Article Comments - 2009 Toyota Venza First Drive [nippononly]

Hey KarenS, I wouldn't worry about the 20 inch tires. I checked tirerack.com and they currently have about 6 or 7 tire models ranging in price from $98 to $245 each (the highest price is for new Blizzak winter tires) that will fit the V6 Venza. The available tires come from Goodyear, Bridgestone and Pirelli and I'll bet you will see more tire choices available if ... Read More...

Re: Article Comments - 2009 Toyota Venza First Drive [nippononly]

With the imminent death of the SUV I wouldn't be surprised if the Highlander becomes the alternative for the ex-Sequoia buyers. One of Toyota's brilliant insights in the auto marketing area is that buyers generally classify themselves into price strata. That's why the majority of the populace is geared toward payment buying. When $50000-priced-vehicle-shoppers ... Read More...
