Questions
I am new to this forum, but a long-time reader -- having probably perused every message -- and am very seriously considering purchase of a new Toyota Venza. I have several questions, some about Toyota in general and some specific to the Venza:: (1.) Living in southwest Florida, the dealers here -- as well as in the rest of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, ... Read More...
Not sitting on lots
According to cars.com's Movers and Losers: January 2009, the Venza was #3 on the "movers" list at 20 days sitting on the lot. By contrast, the Nissan Murano was on the "losers" list at 109 days. The real explanation in the difference between the two crossovers is probably that the Venza is trickling out to dealers, while the 2009 Murano has been out since January ... Read More...
Re: Packages vs Ordering [felt]
Hello - 1st Post... I too am looking to order a Venza - although I really want the 4 cyl version with my choice of options. I have not seen or heard from any dealer in the Seattle area that knows anything about when the 4 cyls might arrive - So I contacted Toyota directly - and got this nice response: "Thank you for contacting Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. We appreciate ... Read More...

Re: Marketing Mistakes [berri]
I'm wondering if Toyota isn't making the same mistakes with Venza that Ford did with the Edge. The vehicle seems to have come in over weight giving it only a marginal improvement in fuel economy over the Highlander. It's about the same size with the same footprint as the Highlander but the Venza gets 10% better fuel economy. It's much nicer and bigger than the RAV ... Read More...
Re: [jkenley]
@ GuessWho, I dont know what Venza, you got in; maybe the one you can drive from your computer chair?.... But that is not at all true. I have driven both and they are both whisper quiet, and the only main difference in the interior is the placement of a few electronic components, and very VERY slight design differences. And, as far as power goes, they both use 3.5 liter ... Read More...
Re: Venza Lease [md_outback]
I agree with IndianaJohns. Here's why... According to this forum here are the Toyota money factors in APR form: 2009 Prius 7.08% 2009 Rav4 6.6% 2009 Corolla 3.92% 2009 Camry 3.24% 2009 Avalon 7.08% 2008 FJ Cruiser 6% (info from 09/07 2009 Highlander 7.08% 2008 Matrix 6.84% (from 04/07) 2008 Sequioa 2.016% (from 08/08) Low money factor because residual was 46% ... Re: $38000 Venza? [kdhspyder]
Here's the detailed list from the Toyota web site. The options don't seem to add up. What do you consider stuff in this list? How about the toyoguard? Are you saying that the SE region is charging $2000 more than any other area? Series: Venza Model: 2822 - Venza V6 4WD Model Year: 2009 Transmission: 6 Speed Automatic VIN: XXXXXXXXXXX01H045 Color: Classic Silver ... Read More...
Re: $38000 Venza? [kcflyer]
You're not too far off IMHO. I say this often of Toyota vs. Lexus, especially when you load up a Toyota. The 2009 Lexus RX has a $5K MFG to dealer incentive, deal close to invoice and many are seeing $9-10K off MSRP Read More...
Re: Venza Vs RX 350 [Jeff_in_TN]
So, if both were similarly equipped, which would you pick? For me, I'm leaning towards the Venza. Even with the substantial discounts on the outgoing 2009 model (2010 is all new and arriving in February), the RX is still more expensive than the Venza for less features (that are important to me). It all depends on what's important to you, of course. The Lexus does ... Read More...
