Hey MD. The Venza isn't a bad vehicle...it just seems sort of expensive to me for what it is. Plus, while Toyota has some of the most aggressive lease money factors that I have ever seen it offer on many other models right now once again it has not lease support on the Venza this month. After looking at about ten different makes & models, I just bought a Venza V6-AWD with: Premium Pkg #2 (LX) Navigation w/JBL Synthesis (NV) Panoramic Roof (SR) Floor/Cargo Mats (CF) Remote Engine Start (V4) MSRP was $38,753, I paid $34,118 plus TTL. Appreciate the info, Halwick. Yes, it appears that short supply is keeping prices steady at intro levels. A major Toyota dealer here in Atlanta has but one or two 4-cyl units available. Not sure who has seen this, but it means NO wires to connect up your i-phone and other blue tooth MP3 devices... I'm jazzed by this as I was wondering how to "nicely" hook my tunes from my i-phone into our soon to arrive Venza. Any chance they could make a Venza Jr. that sells for no more than $20K on the midlevel model? They already do -- that would be the Matrix. The mid-level S model is under $20K. Used Venzas are going to be few and far between given how new ones seems to be trickling out the factory. I don't think Venzas are available to the fleet and rent-a-car channels. Maybe when the ... I tried the I-4 in the highlander 2009 last a few weeks ago. I drive the Venza 6 then the highlander for a crude comparision. I found the engine (2.7) very willing. I sort of wish they were all 2.7's since the 3.5 is not leaps and bounds better. IMO the V-6 does have commendable fuel economy on the highway. It also accelerates much quieter than the I-4. For a Toyota, I was happy to find it pretty compliant and composed with NY/NJ roads. I'm coming from an Audi A6, so I'm used to feeling the road without being unduly impacted. I don't like the typical bouncy SUV or too distant Cadillac isolation. Read More...
