    I drive a 1/2 ton (Chevy) and seldom tow, but I frequently pass a place where there are horse shows and Big Trailers. Super Duty Fords dominate the parking lot there.     Thanks for sharing. I assume 5K off of the invoice. I am getting quotes from pretty much ALL toyota dealers in my area (DFW) around 5-6k off of the MSRP. But, I still want to wait until March because I believe that toyota will have huge incentives on Tundra next month.

    20.4mpg, not bad. Should get a little better as it breaks-in. I have to agree the interior is nice and roomy. I've been looking at double-cabs and the Tundra's rear seating is roomy even for adults. Better than others. thnx for posting!!

    Mine just passed 1000 miles and the best so far out on the Interstate (rolling hills of WV & OH) is 20.4 mpg. Thats with a Reg Cab, Long Bed, 4X4. Not to bad for where I live (much better than my 03 Chev S-10 ZR2 by the way). I love the room and comfort of the Tundra.

    The President of Toyota Motor Corp. announced the other day at a press conference that Toyota will indeed build the diesel Tundra for the '10-'11 MY. It will be powered by a new "clean diesel" technology. I am guessing sequential direct injection and new catalyst technology in the exhaust manifold. Can't wait for 2010 to get here now. Something to look forward to. :D

    Their 4.7 is used in many different vehicles, which affects Tundra in particular, and creates the 5.7 push from Toyota. GM will have the same problem with the 6-speed, and it'll be a couple of years before every Silverado engine gets a 6-speed. By 2010, both trucks middle-offerings will be similar in drivetrain.     Last I heard, toyota plans to offer a hybrid drivetrain option in ALL models by the year 2010. I don't know for sure in it will be a Tundra by then though. The plant opening in 2007 in San Antonio,TX will bring a lot to the plate for Toyota's truck buyers.

    I would not start getting excited about a crew cab Tundra. Toyota needs to concentrate on important combinations like extended-cab long beds and more heavy duty versions which will probably happen in 2010. Toyota also needs to concentrate into making a comfortable extended cab. I bought a regular cab because the extended cab is uncomfortable and no long bed attached.
