Traded my Ford 150 FX4 in for this truck and have to say that I told myself I would never buy a Toyota for a truck. With that said this truck is really power full with the 4.7 engine and for the base model it's got everything you could want and some. I have not put enough miles to write a good review but do like the feel of the cab. It's got storage out the wazoo and a full size bed as well as cab. I was going to go for the crew-cab but the double is more than enough. This truck turns very sharp for a full size and when you step on the gas you go... For a base model non-4x4 truck this thing gets my vote and the price of it was amazing...
Tail gate does not slam down it lets itself down and also assists when lifting. Space of Cab, it's big and seats 6 with no problem. Protection is everywhere on this truck just look where the bed meets the frame and you will see. They put rubber all over for protection and wear.
Gas is the worst I have seen on a truck and I used to own a Land Rover. Anyone that has owned a Land Rover knows :) I am still shocked at how fast it can suck down a tank of gas... The bumper stops in front are too close to the a- arms if you look you will see just turn your wheel out no room for play.
