Toyota Tundra New Owner Reports
Just love it.
I have never had any problem with the transmission, except temporary slight difficulty in getting it into 4 wheel drive(low). But even that is trivial..due more to my failure to pay attention to the owners' manual. I have no doubt many people who post here actually own new Tundras. I also have no doubt that many don't, and either are paid by Toyota competitors, ... Read More...
2007 Crew Max 5.7 6speed transmission Problem
My Tundra(1300miles) was shifting funny going up my driveway at about a 45 degree angle. Dealer put in a new torque converter. This seemed to fix the problem except now after I get to the top of the driveway (only about 30 feet) I feel a slipping then it goes into gear. After I drive another 100 feet it starts to "bounce" like "popping the clutch" in manual transmissions ... Read More...

Re: I have a 2007 tundra truck with a lot of issues [bobbywsr]
I just dropped my Tundra, 5.7 eng, off at the dealer today. The service writer said he has never heard of anyone complaining about a noise in the morning. I told him to look on the internet and there was more than just myself with that complaint. I guess I can consider myself lucky, I leased for 3 years. My 2004 Chevy was broke down having a camshaft put in at 37,000 miles ... Read More...
I have a 2007 tundra truck with a lot of issues
I bought my Tundra double cab, 5.7 liter engine 6 months ago. At 12,000 miles I heard a roaring in the front end and thought it was a wheel bearing. I took it to the dealer and he said it was the tires. At 20,000 miles at the checkup they found a left front wheel bearing bad.. They replaced it and at the time of replacement they found that the differential and the AV axle ... Read More...

Death by Tundra
Well, it has been nice to read the coments posted on the various sites referencing the Toyota Tundra front end crash. My son purchased his second Tundra a 2007 4-dr SR5 in June 2007. It appears that the vehicle left the road after the right rear tire failed. The reason that this is evident is that the wheel rim is severely marked by the roadway asphalt, before he went ... Re: 2007 Toyota Tundra 5.7L High Idle [beach_brada]
I have a 2008 tundra and i have the same thing. Mine will rev to about 1800 rpm when i first start it the morning and hold that for about a minute, and then it will gradually start to come back.I only have 600 miles on it and will take it in and see if this is normal for this engine. I also have an issue with the oil pressure which i'll take up with the service rep when i take it ... Read More...

Re: 2008 Tundra Crew Ltd [mikeb]
You can read back in time within the posts of this forum for some of those comments. I would suggest that your test drive of the one you want buy over some potholes, speed bumps at least will tell you if the Tundra you're going to purchase was from a good batch. I'm only experiencing a lingering shivering after hitting some 7" deep potholes.. rather than any lingering ... Read More...
