Full-size pickup sales - F-150 best selling truck, but for how much longer??

Re: Flexy beds cant be worked hard in fields! [farmerrube]

Hey Rube...we grew up on farms too with F 250's and Cheyenne 2500's with 454 V8's. You know as well as i do that real farm work must be done with heavy duty 3/4 tons or more. Half tons are not and never will be designed for heavy duty use. You can put as big a springs and lift kits and big tires on half tons all you want but that does not change the fact that the frame is not designed ... Read More...

Re: Truck of the year. [obyone]

"While it is true that a new or redesigned vehicle is a requirement, the Tundra was redesigned for the model year 2007 and NOT 2008. So the question remains why was the Tundra the MT Truck of the Year for 2008 when it was introduced in 2007 as a 2007 model?" My understanding is the '07 Tundra wasn't ready in time for the '07 TOTY. The rumor is the Tundra was delayed to tweak ... Read More...

TRUCK OF THE YEAR

Motor Tread announced today just after 1PM that the 2008 Tundra is the truck of the year! http://www.wtol.com/Global/story.asp?S=7513296 I do stand to be corrected for the sales stats. By the end of this month Toyota could possibly see 200 thousand trucks sold in the year of 2007 All other pick up sales were down Tundra had an increase When comparing current ... Read More...

Re: looks like [h20]

Your right it will never stop the toyota bashers will always be the way they are. They must have in their tiny minds they are the savior on man kind.I think they know they made a mistake buying chev. & gmc.So it makes them feel better to talk about tundra. I looked on the chev/gm forum. There was a poster with a 2007 truck having fuel problems truck was running rough.instead ... Read More...

Re: TRUCK OF THE YEAR [b2900]

Interesting, your assumption is that Toyota which are close to becoming one of the biggest auto manufactures in North America with sales based on customer satisfaction, quality and higher resale will not be able to produce a full size pick up? No, Toyota definately produced the bloated Tundra, which is truly full-sized. Just don't put any significant weight ... Read More...

Re: Looks like Toyota seriously misjudged this market [b2900]

Uhhmmm, better check your facts. Toyota has not met their sales goals yet and in all liklihood will just miss them. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/10/toyota-needs-big-december-to-reach-200k-tundr- a-sales/ Toyota doesn't agree with you, as they happen to be ashamed of the new Tundra, and blame it on Texans at the ol' San Anton factory: http://www.leftlanenews.com/tundra-problems-bring-shame-to-toyota.html Read More...

Re: TRUCK OF THE YEAR [b2900]

Motor Tread announced today just after 1PM that the 2008 Tundra is the truck of the year! Motor Trend picked the Silverado for 2007. The 2008 Silverado is essentially the same as the 2008 Tundra, except we now know how meaningless the Truck of the Year award is. They should have jumped on the Tundra tailgate and watched it crack, or taken into account the 2007 Tundra ... Read More...

Toyota Tundra New Owner Reports

Re: I have a 2007 tundra truck with a lot of issues [gobblerman]

Agreed. If the Toyota rep is able to establish that all the Tundras exhibit this noise on start up and that it doesn't affect the longevity of the engine by testimony of Toyota engineers, the arbitrator would have no option as to rule in favor of Toyota. No proof other than it makes noise on startup would be a basis for replacing a truck. Especially if while on the lot ... Read More...

Re: I have a 2007 tundra truck with a lot of issues [bobbywsr]

Just how excessive was your noise? I have this same noise and have been convinced it is normal and have heard it in every 5.7 I've been exposed to. Would your noise go away after 5 minutes? So is Toyota saying this is not normal noise? How much of this is the dealership or is this a Toyota rep? Read More...

Re: I have a 2007 tundra truck with a lot of issues [bobbywsr]

So let me get this straight - you are potentially filing a claim under lemon law against the Tundra, but if there were no problems such as those you noticed that required engine replacement at 20K miles, it would be the best running truck you ever owned? In other words, other than having to consider lemon law, your Tundra is a great running truck? Congratulations ... Read More...
