Wonder if engine will hold up.
Vehicle
2007 Toyota Tundra SR5 4dr CrewMax Cab SB (5.7L 8cyl 6A)
Review
The 2007 Toyota Tundra is a nice truck, but I have a few complaints: the engine sounds like a diesel until it warms up, the ride is jarring, and it is hard to see when backing up. Toyota seems to use a lot of cheap plastic material; some have started to discolor already. When I ask the dealership for help on issues that seem to be abnormal it all ends up being normal; like the clattering engine, the vibration in the steering wheel and cupping tires, and transmission down shifting.
Favorite Features
Power of the engine, drives nice. Gas mileage is not bad for a big truck.
Suggested Improvements
Seats have little neck support. Ride needs a lot of improvement, needs carlike ride. Chrome the the painted wheels. Use a thicker coat of paint. Use better quality of materials. Needs a better radio. Cup holders are too far from the driver. Needs blower control to vent air to the back seats.

For all the non believers out there, this is a good, strong truck to be reckoned with. If you're in the market for a new truck, do yourself right and test drive this one too.

Awful ride
Vehicle
2007 Toyota Tundra Limited 4dr CrewMax Cab SB (5.7L 8cyl 6A)
Review
I bought this powerful half ton thinking it would run like my 9 year old tacoma. The ride is simply awful. I as well as my passengers are literally bouncing off our seats being held in by our seat belts. I don't dare have my new born in the truck as a passenger. After waiting a year for a promised fix from Toyota for the rough ride I could wait no longer and traded it in for a GMC Sierra. Lost a bit of power but man is the ride better. Problems during my 9 months of ownership: the rubber sealant around the windows were replaced. The driver's side mirror was replaced. The torque convertor was replaced. The transmission was being looked at due to hesitation-vibration.
Favorite Features
The cabin space was great. The power of the 5.7 was incredible. 1800lbs in the bed was hardly noticeable.
Suggested Improvements
Toyota really needs to address the complaints of those who have the rough ride/bouncing issue promptly. I lost a lot of money trading in the truck and that I will never forget.

Awesome
Vehicle
2007 Toyota Tundra SR5 4dr CrewMax Cab 4WD SB (5.7L 8cyl 6A)
Review
I live in Bulgaria and my father and I have been looking for some months to import an American style truck. Obviously we were focused on the Ford F-150 and the Chevy Silverado and Avalanche, when one day we saw a Tundra CrewMax sitting in a used car dealership in Bulgaria. It had 500 miles on it. Well, that has become our truck in Bulgaria. It is huge, and in Bulgaria it look particularly huge. The 5.7 V8 has awesome power and makes it fun to drive. Also, we went to the mountain with it - there isn't an obstacle for the Tundra.
Favorite Features
Rear-view camera is a great feauture. However, the engine is the best thing about that vehicle
Suggested Improvements
I am happy with it as it is.

Best Truck I've ever Owned
Vehicle
2007 Toyota Tundra SR5 4dr Double Cab 4WD SB (5.7L 8cyl 6A)
Review
With 32,500 miles I've never been happier with a truck. I've owned Ford, Chevy (2), and Dodge trucks. The only thing that comes close to the Tundra was a Duramax. Driving the Tundra feels like the Duramax, just I can't tow as much. I installed the KN Cool Air Intake, gives it even more hp and sounds cool.
Favorite Features
The whole truck,

Great Truck

I've put over 42,000 miles with no mechanical problems. Spend most of my day on muddy job-sites, pulling trailers, carrying 1,500 to 2,000 lbs of construction supplies and the truck has performed magnificently.

Better MPG

Tundra over here!!
Vehicle
2007 Toyota Tundra SR5 4dr Double Cab SB (4.7L 8cyl 5A)
Review
Normally, I would not have bought a toyota of any type. The Tundra is my work/car truck. Gas is comparable for its size. I have put over 15000 miles on this truck, highway and city. I drive it, don't abuse it. Fun to drive, turns heads, durable, not always easy to park, must consider the size. Others have had problems with their Tundra. I am 64, owned many vehicles, there are some that have problems. That is not an overall picture of the new Tundra. My wife & I enjoy our Tundra very much. In fact we leave her 2008 Camry parked and take the road in the Tundra. The 4.7 has all the power needed for the average home owner. Heavy duty work go for the 5.7 and turn more heads.
Favorite Features
Braking, smoooth ride, and the daring look.
Suggested Improvements
Don't force buyers to go with after market exhaust. Make duals standard on all V8s.

Love the Tundra - Texas Female
Vehicle
2007 Toyota Tundra SR5 4dr CrewMax Cab SB (5.7L 8cyl 6A)
Review
I love this truck. I can have a stressful day at work and when I get in my truck it's all left behind. I wish I lived farther from work so I could drive it more. First vehicle I've owned over 6 months and still love it. I still love walking out to a parking lot and knowing I'm headed towards the best looking truck in the lot. It's just fun to drive. Getting on freeways is fun with the power of this truck. Watch your speed in this truck. It's so smooth I often catch myself speeding.
Favorite Features
The back seats recline. The full back electric window. Tons of room for driver and passengers. Lots of compartments and storage.
Suggested Improvements
The tire pressure light is constantly on even though the tires are ok.

Too many miles
Vehicle
2007 Toyota Tundra SR5 4dr Double Cab 4WD SB (5.7L 8cyl 6A)
Review
The tundra is a blast to drive and always a eye catcher. I have only had one problem and that was the recall on the drive shaft. I get a 17.5 mpg on the average and 13 when I haul the 8900lb trailer. Still beats my dodge I would recommend this truck to anyone.
Favorite Features
The soft open tailgate and the feather light ease of closing it
Suggested Improvements
More ground clearance.

Tunk Is My Buddy
Vehicle
2007 Toyota Tundra SR5 4dr Double Cab SB (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
Review
I have a quirky habit of naming my vehicles, because I usually keep them for 10+ years. I call my Tundra truck Tunk. I like the way it feels when I'm driving, and the turning radius for this size vehicle is amazing. The seats are comfortable if you pull the headrests out & turn them around so you're not forced to scrunch your neck to conform. The 236 hp V6 is smooth as silk & purrs like a big cat when you're cruising down a back road at 55 or 60, up or down a hill, where it is lugging down below 2k rpm. The cruise control took a little getting used to because the control "schtick" turns with the wheel, while other levers remain stationary. Heat & A/C superb, back seats roomy & comfortable.
Favorite Features
I love all of the storage spaces & the efficiency of the windshield wipers. The topside access to the oil filter and the dampened tailgate mechanism are pure genious. The rear seats, designed to flip up/out of the way, make cargo room, & are extended, roadtrip approved. The console is clever/useful.
Suggested Improvements
Make sure a potential buyer knows that there is no fuel mileage advantage with the 5 speed transmissed, 236 horsepower V6 engine as compared to the 6 speed transmystifying, 381 horsepower V8. For knocking around town doing hobby hauling the V6 is adequate and has some pep, but there are moments....
