Re: Taking On Water [curtmann]
Hi, My 2004 Double cab was recently hit while parked and the driver and passenger doors had to be replaced. After getting it back, from the certified toyota body shop, I found a leak exactly as you explained. I had it in to the dealership body shop about 5 times and every time they explained that it had no leak. Finally the manager came over to my house to see the leak ... Read More...
Toyota Tundra Prices Paid and Buying Experience
Here's what I paid... for 2 trucks.
In 2002, I brought a Toyota Tundra 2002 SR5 access cab cloth seats for $24,500 with tax included from Toyota of New Orleans. And here in New Orleans our tax rate is 8.75% . Please don't even follow the dealer's invoice. They our overprice to make more money off of you. I've had over 90,000 miles since then with no problem and have only change brake pads, tires, timing ... Read More...
Re: Price Paid for Tundra Access Cab SR5 V6 Auto [emt27]
Just bought a 2005 Tundra Limited V8 4X2 Access cab, sticker was 30,172. Out the door 24,795. About the 4x4 over 4X2, if you have no need for a 4X4, why would you buy it? I use my truck for the trips to Home Depot, Lowes, Etc.. I don't go 4wheelin, and I don't have any snow in my state ;) . So me buying a 4x4 would be a waste of 3-4 grand. My last Toyota was a 4X4, but I lived in the ... Read More...

Vibration at Idle Poll
I am driving 2005 double cab Tundra. There is a continuous humming vibration inside the cab when at idle. It is most noticeable in the steering wheel and the floor when the truck is in gear and even more magnified when the a/c compressor engages. I've had a regional toyota rep check the truck and a report sent into Toyota but nothing will be done until Toyota gets bombarded ... Read More...
Re: 2005 Tundra Double cab TRD [srpeterson]
It is very hard for me to believe it is the exhaust. I have a 2004 doublecab and have not had a problem with it. If you have 285 50 20 tires then the front tires are rubbing on the upper control arms. Toyota went to 265 50 20 tires for this reason. Just stay on the dealership because the squeeky wheel gets the grease. Good luck. Read More...
Re: Engine failure, 2005 Tundra Double Cab [jam123]
Update... My truck is now at the second dealership and has had the engine pulled. The cause of the problems has now been found. Sand in the engine!! The dealership and Gulf States have no idea how sand could have ended up in the engine. The fuel could not have caused the problem, the injectors would have clogged before this much sand could get in. The oil is not to blame, ... Read More...
