MORE toyota RECALLS

This is a post from another site: Although we've barely passed mid-February, Toyota has already recalled 533,417 vehicles this year in a mix that, according to http://www.AutoRecalls.us, includes Tundras Sequoias and Camrys. That puts Toyota on track to recall more than the over 1.76 million autos they recalled in the U.S. and Japan in 2006, and the 2.2 million ... Read More...

Toyota Tundra New Owner Reports

Waiting for my TRUNDRA

I am driving a 2005 F150 and have ordered a Tundra DC that is scheduled for mid April. When people bash the TUNDRA, all I can say is that I have owned several newer GMC Trucks and now this 05 F150. The F150 is a snail when towing a 3500 lb boat. It has NO, read that, NO passing power. Don't try to convince me that it has. I have 27,000 miles on it. I am not bashing FORD, I love ... Re: Lag time... [kdhspyder]

In 2005, 60 percent of SUV occupants killed in crashes were in vehicles that rolled over. In comparison, 46 percent of deaths in pickups and 24 percent of deaths in cars were in rollovers. Just out of curiosity, what portion of that 46% of pick-ups were RCs? ECs? Crewcabs? My guess is that most were crewcabs or ext cabs, very few RCs. High center of gravity is the culprit ... Re: Lag time... [1offroader]

However, let's talk about some of the other issues that make a truck "good". Safety - Tundra placed DEAD LAST in the front crash test compared to GM, Ford, and Dodge, which all tied for FIRST. No OnStar - a big boo-boo, considering the crash test results. You are twice as likely to need it in a Tundra, at least in a frontal crash. Top notch safety - does it make a truck ... Read More...

Toyota Tundra Accessories and Modifications

DRL module/kit

I just imported a 2005 Toyota Tundra 4WD W/O DRL's into Saskatchewan, Canada. DRL's are mandatory and I am trying to find the easiest method to install them to pass our Federal Inspection for imported vehicles. Does anyone know of a supplier that mkes a DRL conversion module? Another method is to obtain a wiring schematic for this truck and wire it myself( I am some ... Read More...

Re: love this forum [toykicks]

"But the Tundra is my favorite 1/2 ton since the old gen gave a wake up call to the Big 3 back in 2000. a lot of People hate it because They believe it will bring down GM,Ford and chrysler financially But toyota isn't aiming at a big market" Sorry, this statement is completely false. First of all, the last gen Tundra did not give anyone a wake up call. It was un-competative ... Read More...

Re: Get the facts straight [rorr]

Automotive news link is www.autonews.com but you need a paid subscription to get to the data centre. As to the breakdown of Toyotas sales from 2005 to 2006: 2005 Domestic - 1,399,496 Import - 860,799 Total - 2,260,295 2006 Domestic - 1,362,904 Import - 1,399,496 Total - 2,542,525 The production data I gave is for US only. Re: Get the facts straight [pmusce]

Well, some clarification: First, I'd like to see the links; particularly the link indicating that Toyota Import sales grew 37% in ONE YEAR. Since Toyota sales in the U.S. were up 'only' 12% for 2006 over 2005, I'm at a loss trying to figure out how the # of vehicles they imported grew by 37%? The only way for this to happen would be if the # of vehicles they produced domestically ... Read More...

Re: On Paper...Maybe....but.. [belias]

The 1987 Sunbird....ahhh, what a classic example of an awesome vehicle...hahaha I must admit that I am NOT a fan of that era GM or any American-made car (mid 80's-early 90's). But I would not judge GM or it's dealers based on 20 year old experiences. I am sure that not only the vehicles have improved, but customer satisfaction is a much higher priority in today's ... Toyota Tundra Cooling/Radiator Probs

Re: Radiator Fan exploding [yotafan]

I think it would be better if you take your car to the shop for proper checking. It sounds like your tundra is experiencing a serious condition, something I have not experienced with my own tundra. __________________ 2005 Toyota Tundra Accesorios - Tundra 4x2 06 Catalog by Toyota Motors Read More...
