I have a 2008 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Access Cab v6 4.0L, that has the same problem with the starting, My truck has a grand total of 1200km's on it, I've had it for less then 3 weeks. The truck takes 2-3 tries of turning the key for the engine to start. When the truck does finally start, it works great. Jap Crap or what? Read More...

I just bought a 2006 Tacoma with P265/65 R17 110S tires. Both the manual and the inside door sticker indicate that the optimal pressure is 29 psi. Yesterday the air pressure indicator on my dash lit up indicating that one of my tires is low. I checked them and none was below 29 psi. I filled them up to 32 psi and the indicator is still lit. I've owned a 2007 Tacoma 4x4 crew since Memorial Day. I traded a 2006 Frontier 4x4 KC on Tacoma. Reason I did when I the Frontier I almost immediatly knew I should have gotten the Crew cab. Toyota has been making an inline 4-cylinder diesel pickup called the Hi-Lux for about 25 years. It sells almost everywhere but the US. It is widely regarded as "The Indestructible Car." I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road automatic and I regularly perform routine maintenance. I was looking and there is no dipstick. I called Toyota Corp. and they said that it is a sealed transmission and has no dipstick, so I am guessing if you make this little "boo boo" you may have to take it to a dealer to perform the task, after you buy your transmission fluid ... I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma TRD SR5 Off-Road Edition, 4.0L V6 5speed automatic. I am experiencing problems when accelerating from about 45-55mph and 70mph or above.
