The larger mid-sized truck is the design compromise Iíve been waiting for. It gets far better mileage than a full-size and itís definitely easier to park in the ever-shrinking spaces. Itís a comfortable ride with power to spare driving around town and it has the beef to pull a trailer up the mountains. Iíve added a new fiberglass topper and now I get 19/22 plus mpg. The TRD package provides remarkable factory off-road performance with locking differential, skid plates, ample ground clearance, and suspension. The on-board generator, composite bed, and yes - the cup holders are the attention to detail I expect from a well-built truck. The styling and dark blue color turn heads everywhere I go!
Plenty of power AND reasonable gas mileage. Awesome handling and composite bed.
Just bought this vehicle, my fourth. Really enjoy driving it, although the steering wheel seems a little low. Need to be able to adjust more. The leg room could also be a little more roomier as the brake pedal is kind of close to the gas. Guess I'll get use to it since I traded my 2003 in!
Love the Silver Mica color, the hood scoop really makes this truck a looker along with it's styling.Think it was a smart move on Toyota's engineers part to upgrade and put a 245 horse in it, although gas prices are through the roof.
Give up a little more space between the brake pedal and gas. Clearance height from floor to bottom of dash could be increased
This truck is awesome. I get so many compliments of the truck and the color I chose which is speedway blue. It stands out in a crowd of all types of vehicles and it has the power to pass all of them. Gas mileage is pretty bad though. It handles quite well off road with its TRD suspension and fairly high stock ground clearance. It beats all of its competition in most categories. and its a Toyota.
Truck bed, torque and hp, trd suspension when off roading, styling. Passing power is wonderful.
Need a sun roof, tailgate lock, better gas mileage, rear sliding window like the tundra and better jump seats in the access cab. Not very comfortable when riding in the back for a long trip.
I've driven dozens of vehicles from sports cars to turbo-diesel heavy duty trucks, and this Tacoma is the best of both worlds. Not only can I haul (literally) a ton of material, but I can easily tow another fully laden Tacoma. The interior is simple, yet sophisticated, and it simply looks better than any other truck on the road. It's not the best on gas mileage, but I'm only noticing cuz my previous vehicle was a 1.6L Sentra. This is a great overall vehicle and I highly recommend it, unless you're on a tight fuel budget.
Interior design, suicide doors, polycarbonate bed, beefed up 4.0L engine, overall look and feel.
Brighter radio display, and prgrammable garage door opener buttons built in.
