What a great truck. Just recently
traded in my 2002 Two-Door Tacoma for a
2004 Double Cab V6. Definately a great
truck.. looks, styling, effcient
engine... it has it all! I find myself
wanting a second one even though I
already have one!
Looks, Styling, Performance
More sound system options; obviously
move the clock to a better place.
I finally decided to get rid of my 94
Toyota Pickup Truck (135,000 miles on
it) and upgrade to something a bit
nicer. I had to go with another
Toyota truck - my 94 was just so good
to me and really did hold its value -
even with the high mileage. I wanted
to wait for the new and redesigned 05
Tacoma but figured that the current
model has been battle tested
(something that new vehicles can only
claim after being around for a few
years). I really wanted a 4-door but
was turned off at first when I found
out that they only came with automatic
transmissions. After a test drive I
changed my mind. Bottom line - it's a
very solid truck that will last!
Great looks, decent gas milage for a
4X4 Truck, smooth transmission, get up
and go power, anti-lock brakes, off-
road capability, 4-doors.
The clock could be placed in a better
location and the seats could be a bit
more comfortable - even though they
are a night and day difference from
the seats in my 94!
I loved my 2003 so much I bought my
wife one she said she wanted a Camry
until she drove her new Tacoma. I also
advised her that she would be going
down a dirt road alot to pick up her
grandson, now that her son moved back
from California a couple a months ago.
I am really jealious because she got
lumbar support and I didn't but other
that that the trucks are the same.
MOVE THE CLOCK TOYOTA I'M LIKE
EVERYBODY ELSE. FUEL MILEAGE
I have had the truck for about two
months now and I love it. The quality
and reliability greatly outweigh any
negatives. This is the second Toyota
in the family (2002 Sequoia) and I have
never owned any car or truck that has
been better made or has been as
Great looking truck! Fun to drive and
the build quality is second to none.
The clock is a joke and I wish the
seats were more comfortable. The A/T
stick is a bit too far forward.
I spoke to dealers and mechanics about
this, and I all get is that they all do
that, which I find that real b.s.
Another thing, the rubber around my
windows are much harder to keep clean
for the first time in 30 years. I have
been a Toyota owner since the 70's and
never had that problem-ever..
I spoke to the dealers and the
mechanics and all they tell me is that
they have to be cleaned with soft scrub
and use wax on it.... Since when was I
told to use bathroom cleaner on my
truck? I know that it is not under
warranty-but I would love to hear from
you-I can get that replaced for free....
The whole thing is looks amd feels
The way it stops and goes-that jerky
AND the rubber strip around the windows.
