  last week found hole in frame on my 2002 Tacoma, contacted toyota and was told same think--no help! I filed a complaint with Pa. attorney general and BBB. no word. for all their supposed contact tries, it seems a lot of owners missed the deadline.   Toyota is not adhering to that 2010 deadline. Just had a new $11,000.00 frame put on my 2004 Tacoma at no charge to me. I know others are still getting them too "no questions asked" if you have the slightest bit of "rust through".

  Warranty enhancement period couldn't possibly have ended when the trucks are guaranteed 15 years after first put into service. Therefore, yours is a 2002 guaranteed to 2017. Out of many, many post I have read on various threads and blogs you are the first one to ever get hassled by Toyota that I have heard of. Sorry !

  I just took my 2002 Tacaoma to the dealer for the rust inspection. The frame needs to be replacedl. The cost is covered by the recall BUT I'm responsible for any parts that break when they are removed. I call Toyota and they refuse to cover any broken parts. Seems a bit odd that I need to pay for anything related to the rusted frame

  Report him to Toyota Headquarters! I had my 2001 frame replaced and I knew what would come in the replacement. Frame, rear springs, lower control arms, emergency brake cable, hardware, free labor. Free parts! I did have the f/r shocks replaced as they had 100,000 miles on them and the labor is free.   Toyota is replacing the frame on my 01 Tacoma. They have set me up with a rental. I'm glad they didn't give me any problems. Basically, my frame was rated at 8 out of 10 with 10 being the worst. I didn't know it was that bad until I had the muffler replaced. Thank you guys for pointing me in the right direction.

  We had our frame replaced on '01 Tacoma and Toyota paid 100% of the replacement, around 10K....you DO NOT have to pay for Toyota parts they replace while replacing the frame...they will make you pay for aftermarket add ons...basically you get a new front end with the frame replacement, our dealership did a great job and haven't had any problems with the truck.........yet.   I have a 2001 with 120K and mine is doing the same thing. I've had the disk and drums replaced by Toyota twice, and something called the braking rod (or something like that). I'm takeing it back to Toyota in about two weeks (I've already gave them a heads up).
