Honda Odyssey vs. Toyota Sienna

2nd Source...True Delta

I like this guy because he gets the VIN and collects regular updates from owners, so the data comes out much sooner than CR or anyone else. Any how, the Entourage scores middle-of-the-road at best, the 2007 model has more than twice as many problems as the same year Ody or same year Toyota. Sienna is consistently excellent. Ody has done well lately, but older models ... Read More...

Toyota Sienna Audio/Entertainment Questions

Re: MAC Touch and Toyota Sienna Aux [tanker5]

Unfortunately that doesn't work - maybe a modification to the 2007 - it does work when playing a DVD - but not when conncect to an auxillary item like the touch - or in our future possibly gaming devices, so trying to figure it out, but I think it was an oversight on Toyota's part. Read More...

MAC Touch and Toyota Sienna Aux

We have a 2007 Sienna - limited, with a couple options for customizing audio / video. The first one is the AUX port (assume that would work great for our ipod with a mini-pin connector) but we recently bought a Touch, downloaded some videos, connected the Touch to the 3-wire cables in back (audio, video, etc.) and what we ended up with is the video on the built-in DVD ... Re: Got Rid of our 04 for an 07 Sienna [hause7]

I'm in the Bay Area too, down in San Jose. At a couple of dealerships I told the guys in the used car departments they needed to talk to the counterparts in new cars if they thought their vans were so valuable. A repo at auction with a missing second row explains something of the price though it sounds like they are giving you the seats with the price of the van. Still not ... Read More...

Re: 2007 Toyota Sienna Uncontrollable Acceleration [harold27]

Hi Harold27, I'm so sorry to hear about your accident. My accident was almost a year ago on 2/14/08 (my 2006 Toyota Sienna van drove up my driveway by itself while it was still in Park with the engine running, hit me and compressed me at the hips between the van hood and my half open garage door). I still have my van because Toyota refused to do anything about it and we ... Read More...

Re: 2007 Toyota Sienna Uncontrollable Acceleration [harold27]

Harold,I shuttered when I read your post because it brought back the nightmare of my similar experience with my '92 Lexus (story is posted on this website). I went through all the motions you did--filing with the NTSA, contacting Lexus corporate headquarters in Calif. which eventually sent their "expert" who found NO problems!, spending countless hours of ... 2007 Toyota Sienna Uncontrollable Acceleration

December 10, 2008 12:55 PM I was parked in line at the car wash and I was waiting to go into the car wash with a line of cars. I put my foot on the brake to move up in line, my Sienna took off like a jet engine at full speed. I served to miss the pickup truck in front of me. I just grazed his bumper, missed the car wash building. I raced across the parking lot, jumped a curb, and ... Read More...

Got Rid of our 04 for an 07 Sienna

We got rid of our 2004 Toyota Sienna Limited AWD and got a used 2007 Sienna XLE with package 6. We paid only $22,881 for it and it is fully loaded with only 20,805 miles. Awesome Deal ;) Love the new engine and gets way better gas mileage then our 04 AWD. I like the new opitron gauges a lot. Bluetooth is nice and the Dvd/Navigation is awesome!!! Read More...

Re: Toyota Sienna [kbella3]

hause7 beat me to it, but I was going to suggest a 2007 for the same reason - no belt to change, more HP on the 2007 and later. Just took ours to Florida and back (I'm in the DC area) and it was a great utility vehicle, carrying people and luggage all over the place. Our group had 17 people! The funny thing is all the kids wanted to come with me in the van because I had the 12" ... Read More...

Re: Toyota Sienna [jpf]

It only affected the 3.0L V6 on the 1998-2003 Sienna's plus it only occured to a few owners not everyone. The 2004-2006 use the 3.3L V6 and the 2007-present use a 3.5L V6. We had a trouble free 04 Sienna Limited AWD that we traded in with 90,000 miles for our now 07 Sienna XLE FWD because we didn't need the AWD here in California. If you are gonna buy a Sienna an 05-newer ... Read More...
