Toyota Sienna Power Rear Hatch
2007 Toyota Sienna Rear Hatch Electric Actuator
On the 2007 Toyota Sienna there is an electric solenoid in the rear hatch, if that goes out- the party is over. Has anyone else had this issue? I have found a great disparity in dealers. Read More...

Re: VCM engine [olavanman]
New EX-L owner. VCM: For me I can not tell when it goes on and off. For those with VCM issues, in 2007 or 2008 I believe Honda switched to VCM 2 which should be smoother than the old VCM. So unless you are testing the latest and greatest, your experience does not apply to new ody shoppers. What surprised me about VCM: it goes on/off .... a lot. I thought once you where up ... Re: 2007 Sienna Engine Knocking Issue [nw_in_x]
Mine does the exact same thing. However it only does it when it is cold outside and only for 5 minutes at the most. I had the Toyota dealer look at it and the mechanic said that they all did that and that there was nothing wrong with it. The van had about 30k miles on it when I took it in. Read More...
Toyota Sienna Sliding Door Problems
Toyota Sienna 2006 sliding doors
We are having problems with our Toyota Sienna 2006 sliding doors. They never worked properly since we bought the vehicle. They were repaired in 2007 but never really worked properly and now they are frozen. The warranty has expired. My problem with Toyota is that this is a manufacturer's defect that should be fixed at their cost. One thing I can say for sure is I ... Read More...

Re: 2009 Sienna LE w/Pkg 1, but engine problem
I bought a 2009 Sienna LE, from Toyota of Orange, Orange, CA, in December of 2008 for OTD $26,500. This includes Pkg 1. I got White with Gray interior, 8 passenger seating. I truly dont think there is the Beige interior available, though it should theoretically be available, because I really wanted White, and wanted to compare Beige and Gray inside, went to 3 dealers ... Re: KBB values? (Quotes 4/11/2009) [hause7]
KBB is THE book the local Toyota and Honda dealers use to establish Trade-In value in connection with auto auctions. Comparison kbb trade in values as of 4/13/2009 for a Sienna LE in "GOOD" condition with same options and same 28,000 miles: 2006 Sienna LE $ 12,475 2007 Sienna LE $ 14,250 This $ 1775 is DRASTICALLY less than the $ 5,000 difference between a 2006 and ... Re: Honda vs Dodge [voiceofstl]
I paid about $25k for my Sienna LE with power sliding doors on both sides and a trip computer. There's no way you could find a Dodge or Kia for $10 grand less than that at the time, probably not now either. At the time, a similar Dodge van was $22-23k and did not have the 8th seat I wanted. A 7 passenger Sienna was $24.7k. So it was more like $2 grand price advantage, not $10. ... Read More...

Re: Pathetic Trade-in value for 2006 Sienna LE 28K miles (Quotes 4/11/2009) [ateixeira]
NOT much better for 2007 Sienna LE. Just check with KBB or quit bad mouthing me every time I post. Why do Sienna owners get mad when another Sienna owner believes the Sienna and ALL Toyotas are overpriced and overhyped by Consumer Reports? Read More...

Re: - [dudleyr]
Much is talked about the confusing packages from Toyota, but with a little homework back in 2007 when I bought mine, you could get rough equivalents: I will use ~= to mean "roughly equal to" Back then, at least: Ody LX ~= CE pkg 2 Ody EX ~= LE pkg 3 Ody EX-L ~= XLE pkg 6 Ody EXL-RES ~= XLE pkg 7 Ody EXL-RES-Navi ~= XLE pkg 8 and so on. Those are the models I considered, at least. ... Read More...

NOT True [siennami]
A 2007 Sienna LE has also depreciated RAPIDLY. Admit the truth: a 2007 Sienna LE also has a pathetic trade in value...just $ 1775 more than the lower powered 2006 Sienna LE. The quoted selling price of a NEW 2009 Sienna XLE with MSRP $ 33,448 at the closest local Toyota dealer is $31,448 as quoted Saturday April 11, 2009. Add the difference between the $ 13,000 trade ...
